Smith & Wesson will not attend or support or participate in the 2013 Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show in Harrisburg, Pa. in response to organizers banning the display and sell of tactical-looking firearms often called assault rifles from the show.
Smith & Wesson manufacturers a successful line of what it and the industry calls modern sporting rifles under the M&P brand name.

In a news release, James Debney, president and CEO of Smith & Wesson, said: As a market leader in the firearm industry and an iconic brand that spans 160 years of American history, we believe it is important to make our position perfectly clear: We support the Second Amendment and the rights of our law-abiding customers to purchase these and all legal firearms. Therefore, we are unable to support any organization or event that prohibits legal firearms, or otherwise restricts a citizens lawful and constitutional rights.

last time Smith and Wesson screwed up on gun control, the company tanked and the owners had to sell it!
Guess they learned their lesson..hee.hee.
And against Obama.
So how will the new Mason Dixon line be drawn!
And the list grows! Good news.
Is there anybody left that’s attending this show? Better bail out now before the rest of us label you as a liberal.
BTT. It’s slowly dawning on some remarkably dense people that we’re serious about this.
Didn’t Ruger pull out as well? Yessss!
it will only dawn on those dense people when the MSM make brown the new black for their pants.
American patriots kicking Brit butt...again.

it will be a two or three dots. one encicling NYC, one the beltway, one sacramento, perhaps albany ny.

only politicians and msm stooges will be quaranteened there.
Looks like they have at least 150 they pulled out. Ruger, S&W and Cabelas are soem of the big one I am aware of.
Good Lord, Eaker. The map is excellent, but the commentary will invite the clowns who brought down the blue states to dilute the Texan conservative base. Don’t Californicate Texas. I recommend you start a movement to move Austin to, say, Eugene. Now that’s a move in the right direction!

Time to let that little piece of info “slip.” If we do this right, the only booth in the whole thing will be NPR broadcasting “catch and release.”
Looks like the bottom is falling out of this Brittish Owned show.
Then Reed Exhibitions screwed them.
Now their stuck. Either walk away from their investment or show up and face smaller than anticipated crowds and the risk of boycotts.
The gun owner community needs to really get behind the people who have dropped out of this thing. Personally, I've never had a chance to go on an elk hunt before.
Someone around here is maintaining a list, its on the ruger threat I think. I know I’ve seen it on several of these threads.
Looks like Reed Exhibitions forgot who brung em to the dance. This is quite an enjoyable situation... a learning experience for all. Sorta separates the bulls from the steers (and the sheepdawgs from the sheep).
