BEIRUT - Syria's ambassador to Lebanon said on Thursday that Damascus had the option of a "surprise decision" to respond to what it said was an Israeli air strike on a research center on the outskirts of the Syrian capital on Wednesday.
Syria could take "a surprise decision to respond to the aggression of the Israeli warplanes," Ali Abdul Karim Ali was quoted as telling a Hezbollah-run news website.

"If this information is confirmed, then we are dealing with unprovoked attacks on targets on the territory of a sovereign country, which blatantly violates the UN Charter and is unacceptable, no matter the motives to justify it," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Interesting, since this is the same group who lauched an invasion into Georgia in August, 2008.
You're talking about the (proper) Russian reaction to that orange Soros-affiliated clown Sockavillain trying to grab off the autonomous region of South Ossetia I assume.... I mean, Russians may be on the wrong side of something in Syria but they weren't on the wrong side of anything in that one.

I sincerely hope this doesn’t happen, but...
1. Saddam Hussein had WMD’s in Iraq.
2. A bunch of trucks were seen on sattelite photos driving across the Syria-Iraq border into Syria just before the US invasion of Iraq.
3. US troops find no large stockpiles of WMD’s in Iraq.
4. Does an Israeli city become the target of a Syrian chemical weapon attack?
Further, if #4 happens, I’m positive that our news media will be ALL OVER items 1-3, right? </sarcasm>
