Thanks for the excellent analysis. I've been handling shotguns since I was 5 yo, and have never seen one ported like the browning pictured. Being poor, and from the South, we'd call a gun with that many holes in the barrel no good for bringing down high flying ducks! lol And I've brought down a few ducks in my day. ;) I've even shot skeet with that same model shotgun in Alaska (though not nearly as fancy), and off the back of a cruise ship but haven't been to an actual skeet shoot, where you'd likely encounter one ported - I guess.

I did view a skeet shoot on Youtube for a comparison (Lamoille Valley Skeet Shoot. After a few seconds, you can skip the commercial and go to about the 5 min mark where you will see someone shooting a ported barrel.

Really the only thing I'm hanging my hat on still, for this being staged, is the odd amount and pattern of smoke and the fact that he isn't carrying any additional cartridges.
