White House releases photo of Obama firing gun

Very odd...the picture caption indicates that it was supposedly taken on Saturday, August 4, 2012. This USA Today report from August 4, 2012 indicates that he was playing a round of golf that morning, then heading to Camp David later in the day and back to the White House on Sunday, August 5.

This presupposes that on his 51st Birthday, he played a full round of golf, hightailed it up to Camp David to shoot skeet, then came back to the White House the next day. Possible? I suppose, but I remain highly skeptical.

That’s a rather strange looking shotgun! I don’t believe I’ve ever seen smoke coming out the top that way. Plus, no recoil and usually anyone shooting skeet carries extra cartridges; if just in their jeans’ pockets. And where’s the secret service agent who’s suppose to be holding his beer??

The White House claims the date was August 4, 2012. They also claim that, "The photograph may not be manipulated in any way and may not be used in commercial or political materials, advertisements, emails, products, promotions that in any way suggests approval or endorsement of the President, the First Family, or the White House." I doubt that would be enforceable for parody and other fair use if the rule of law still applied in what used to be our country.

Is this a Browning 525? If so, does anyone know the specific version? I wonder whose assault weapon Obama borrowed for this photo op and where the Secret Service felt comfortable standing while Barry the Rookie took his first shot.

This is just unbelieveably pathetic. Why would he / they do this? It makes him a laughingstock, no Pro-2A believer woudl be swayed by it in slightest, and his base won't like it. This is just weird. No sycophant would tell him "No" and he honestly believes it makes him look masculine and Pro-2A?

All of these photos of him look exactly like all the contrived photos we have seen throughout the years that were released by Communist governments around the world. It scares me to think how many idiots in this country do not see the similarities and fawn over this bag of douche.

Yes, I see, it looks like one, but the tip of the top barrel looks like some kind barrel choke. Even with that, why would there be a port in the side of the barrel? That’s what looks like where gas comes from.
