Former presidential candidate Ron Paul reacted to President Obama's SOTU address with John Stossel on Fox Business Network.

Paul said in the speech, "certainly we didn't get any answers tonight" to the key issues facing the nation.

"Everything on the surface looks like it's welfare-ism and warfare-ism. But I think underneath there's a smoldering desire that is growing by leaps and bounds that saying that a lot of people in this country have had enough of it..."

There are issues that I certainly don't agree with Ron Paul on, but he is right that this country cannot be engaged in constant interventionism.

Rand Paul, his son, is neither isolationist nor interventionist in his approach to foreigh policy. And both are against the welfare-ism going on. That's good.

Rand Paul can't possibly be worse than Rubio when it comes to dealing with illegal immigration. Given all of this, the choice between Rand Paul or Marco Rubio is.... Rand Paul.

Ain't see no evidence of any "leaps-and-bounds" feelings anywhere lately. Who's doing anything? Boehner? Congress? Anybody? It's a day-after-day-after-day-after-day-after-day-after-day-after-day-after-day-after-day-after-day-after-day-after-day-after-day-after-day-after-day-after silence. Executive orders are coming like flies on a rib roast . . . country's being torn apart . . . Constitution has been totally trashed . . .

Has anybody seen any ray of sunshine anywhere? Huh?

“Has anybody seen any ray of sunshine anywhere? Huh?” Well, my efforts at reloading ammunition have taken a turn for the good.

Can you read RINO Rubio’s entire opinion on La Raza?

Perhaps one can read RINO Rubio’s entire opinion on a GOP-e website?

I agree that the water bottle mockery is over the top. We agree on that apparently.

Nonetheless, Rubio is a RINO... a darling of the GOP-e.

The MSM pumped and dumped Rubio.

While the MSM would rather have a Dem that a Republican, they would certainly rather have a GOP-e bot (Rubio) than Rand Paul as president.

RuPaul and his boy are worse than RINO and so are their groupies here. Their mission is to divide the conservative vote so liberals can rule. You really want Hitlery win for what ever twisted reason, I’m thinking it might just be that you would rather lose to the liberals so you don’t have to have any responsibility for governing. You would rather lose.

“RuPaul and his boy are worse than RINO and so are their groupies here”

I’d pick either over Zero... and over another lukewarm GOPe RINO.

Take your pick...

It’s one side of the coin or the other.

On one side its the DEm-e and on the other its the GOP-e.

That is how it is in DC. Each side “reaches out” in the “spirit of bipartisanship” to the other.

Sarah Palin calls them The Establishment.

Rand Paul, and about 100+ Tea Partiers: Anti establishment.

Sarah Palin/Rand Paul in 2016.

Yep, we heard no answers tonight. Obama is still relying on hope and Rubio was just a thirsty wind bag of talking points. The tea party plays a trumpet with one note. GOP needs more 3rd party types like Perot or Buchanan with ideas to shake up the GOP.

Both Rubio (liar & crook) and Rand Paul (fraud) are not worth warm spit, they are just another pair of lousy Repubs just not as old and corrupt as the old gop bulls.

The current political atmosphere in the United States is ominously reminiscent of the early days of Nazi Germany, when Hitler went about brazenly destroying the existing order and laying the groundwork for the Third Reich. No one, not the opposition, not the military, not the unions, not the Church, not anybody, raised a voice to call him out.

I see the same passive acceptance today. I see no one leaping and bounding except the cadres of the left, as their ugly nightmare vision for America takes shape before our eyes.

I think all of us agree that the GOPe as a political entity is, if not dead, then at the least is on terminal life support.

Let us gather by the bedside, and listen for the death rattle, pay our final respects, cover the cooling corpse with a sheet, and then it’s off to the pub where we form the new party.

>>Sarah Palin/Rand Paul in 2016.

I’d back that ticket. Or Paul/Palin.

or a ticket with Bachmann. Can’t think of any others I’d back, but I’m open to suggestions. I doubt Palin will run.

We need to get started now. Remember Zippy didn’t just up and start his campaign in 2008. He started running the moment he arrived in the Senate.
