Jeb Bush: I'm Open to a Path to Citizenship (Back to supporting Amnesty after only 24 hours)
ABC News ^ | 3/5/13 | JORDAN FABIAN

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) said Tuesday that he would endorse a pathway to citizenship that does not incentivize illegal immigration. It's a stance that differs from the immigration reform plan that he laid out in his new book.

Bush, a well-known pro-immigration reform Republican, raised eyebrows on Monday when he said on the "Today" show and in his book that he opposes a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants, arguing that it would violate the rule of law and encourage future illegal immigration. In his new book, "Immigration Wars," Bush offers up a plan that would provide a pathway to legal status, but not full citizenship. for undocumented immigrants living in the U.S.

Bush's comments stirred the pot not only because he had previously said he could back a path to citizenship, but also because of their precarious timing. The Senate is now considering a bipartisan immigration reform bill that would allow many of the nation's 11 million undocumented immigrants to seek citizenship, which is backed by Bush's former protégé Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.)

"We wrote this book last year, not this year," Bush explained during an interview on MSNBC's "Morning Joe."

Can’t keep the lies straight, can you, Jeb?

There’s no freaking way I’ll vote for this liberal GOP gasbag.

Just days ago, Jeb also said he would be willing to raise taxes if Obama “guarantees” spending cuts.

... a pathway to citizenship that does not incentivize illegal immigration.

ANY benefit to illegals is a form of 'incentivizing'.

Is Jeb that stupid, or does he thing WE are?

Jeb’s practicing the art of speaking out of both sides of his mouth for 2016. He needs more practice.

Jeb Bush had the highest rating of a Florida governor at the end of his second term. But, no way I would want him for a presidential candidate.

Seal the border. Allow only citizens to get welfare, unemployment, EBT, etc., by law. And enforce the law. Give free bus rides, one way, to South of the border. THEN we can talk about reform. Like no more anchor babies and chain immigration. Allow only immigrants who will produce more than they take.

If he runs in the 2016 pubby primaries, he’ll be agin’ it. If he wins, he’ll spin so fast it’ll make the Mittster look like a paragon of consistency.

THE reasons the politicians, once in a position of influence, WILL support amnesty are very simple. Someone who is a big donor to the politician is making millions off of illegal alien labor and/or drug trafficking OR selling them something they need (housing, cars, etc.) and is using the illegal alien population for one or both occupations or needs them to have clientele to whom to sell goods.

Another possible angle is that lawyers stand to make millions from illegal immigrant processing once amnesty kicks in. The desire for money overrides morality, good sense and national integrity.

Any change in the law to allow those who are here illegally to have legal permanent residence MUST NOT allow such people to have the right to vote. This is the life-long cost of the crime they committed and it also will serve to punish those politicians who viewed such aliens as future voters.

Ya know what’s funny?

Do ya?

I’ve met Bar and Poppy and even had a little conversation with Neil once about Silverado Savings and Loan. The latter went badly because I was bit younger, was a little less than sober and was too loud with him according to his SS agents. LOL! There is nothing else to say or now about Jeb Bush.

Oh yea. I was going to tell you what’s funny.

In the Bush family.....

Wait for it....

Jeb Bush is called “THE SMART ONE!”

Seriously... It is true.

One thing to note though. While the Bush family calls Jeb “the smart one” somebody else can’t call him anything. Now who would that be?

You know, don’t you? The name is Terri Schiavo. Some of us will never forgive him for not wrapping his arms around that poor woman, pulling a six shooter out, cocking it and telling everyone to back the hell off. If he would have done that. If he would have been a man helping another person at any cost he might be a leader. But he is not, he is coward.

And Tokyo Rove is saying this clown is electable.

And CPAC is giving him the keynote speaker slot at the Reagan Dinner.

The fix is in.
