Life is a terminal disease. Throwing good money at attempting to disprove that theory seems ludicrous.

I see.... I guess Obama’s plan is kicking in earlier than I expected.

I watched my own son die of Acute Lymphoma several years ago. And to deny cancer treatments *JUST* because of money makes my blood boil.

AF 1 needs to be grounded. And no vacations for the obamas or bidens until this is figured out.

I can’t imagine a Republican President spending tax money on partying while cancer patients are dying from being denied life saving drugs. He would be drawn and quartered by the press- and rightfully so.

This administration is a complete failure and disgrace.

The medical racket has already been quite interlinked with government for a long time.

BS.

Obamacare stole $750 BILLION from Medicare and the Washington Post blames the Sequester?

The Washington Post is a criminal organization.

Death Panels are really the (unspoken) key to fixing SocSec and Medicare financials.

Even one year sliced off the avg life expectancy makes a huge improvement.

So it boils down to...who is to blame for the sequester? I think a lot more people than we’d like are blaming us. It is we who are sending people headlong to their deaths.

“The care will likely be more expensive: One study from actuarial firm Milliman found that chemotherapy delivered in a hospital setting costs the federal government an average of $6,500 more annually than care delivered in a community clinic.”

It’s not about the money, it’s about the control. The commies want to shut down the small clinics in favor of the hospital. Hospital administrators can be readily controlled through state and federall bureaucrats and the administrators will have no trouble controlling the providers. Greater numbers of medicare patients will funneled into fewer facilities, and bureaucrats and administrators will be rewarded for keeping costs down.

0-care is so bad that it might collapse before it implodes the US economy; that’s why we are seeing Dim senators trying to repeal and delay some of the most onerous provisions such as the device tax.

Reduced funding for Medicare has nothing to do with sequester. Obamacare did cut Medcare funding. Democrats did not pass a doctor payment formula.
The GOP is awol. Rarely hear from Boehner and Senate Republicans Minority leaders.

As I understand it, those affected are on traditional, government-paid Medicare, not the privately-administered Medicare Advantage programs.

Not that they aren’t coming for the private Advantage plans eventually. If it works, these people want to destroy it.

Too bad the gutless Republicans can’t get out there with the megaphones that ObamaCare STOLE over 700 billion from Medicare and there is MORE to come from this disaster.

First, the sequester was obomas idea. People aren't reminding the voters of that little fact.

Second, Medicare wasn't part of the sequester.

Third, obomacare cut Medicare by $7+ BILLION dollars. That's why they're being turned away - obomacuts.

Oncologists say the reduced funding, which took effect for Medicare on April 1

That's a lie!

My brother-in-law, who is an oncologist, had to drop out of his speciality group over a year ago because he was spending more on his chemo drugs than he was getting reimbursed from Medicare...........

He ended up signing on to the hospital as a staff Oncologist and went on salary.........

And of course, in all its “wisdom”, government will probably pass some new law declaring it illegal to turn away patients, rather than lower the cost or get them more money (nevermind we technically don’t have any period).

And I think it speaks volumes about where we are as a country that people will complain about this and expect them to provide their services whether they can afford it or not.
