Certainly does not seem like the type of bad guy who employs the element of surprise and simply acts.

This is like watching an idiot in a bad horror movie.

Okaaaayyy, I’m coming slowly and quietly up the stairs now. I’ve taken a butcher knife out of your kitchen knife block because I’m too stupid to have brought my own knife. I am holding the knife in my right hand and banding my elbow upwards into a pre-stabbing position. Now is a good time for you to call the police and give them all the necessary data while I creep every slower and quieter to your current hiding location which I do not know...

I’ll bet Barry Soetoro is already making reservations in Las Vegas. That way he can’t be blamed if the looney NORKs do try something stupid. He’ll be able to say that he was out of town.

That’s what I’ve been wondering. Isn’t there a drone somewhere with his name on it? Kim is crazier than an outhouse rat.

"North Korea warns 'moment of explosion' nears..."

.... Heck .... If I was Obama .... with all of the war drums pounding and with this tension building around the world the past few days .... If I were the president .... the best thing to do under these circumstances would be to throw an extravagant and expensive party and invite A-List entertainers to romp around the White House in an orgy like atmosphere to show the world that America is definitely in control of the situation!!!

.... oh wait!!!

.

Hagel and Obama take this threat as so series that they will proceed to reduce our Armed Forces..cutting missiles, subs, Aegis cruisers,,etc. etc.
We can only hope that the NOK’s are bluffing, because it could get really ugly fast. Most of Seoul is in artillery range of NOK and there isn’t a good way to stop thousands of artillery pieces set in strong points.

I don’t know, I’ve yet to see him kill anyone and yet to see the good guy even poke him with a finger much less stab him three times.

Come to think of it, I’m not even sure I can actually recognize the who good guy actually is.

By virtue of living in China for 15 years I know some mid-level members of the CCP in the PRC and know that they view N Korea as sort of a useful idiot.

If I were the Obamanation of Desolation I’d be tempted to call up the new Premiere of the PRC and offer a swap.

We (US and South Koreans, Japan, Philippines and Vietnam) would get to reunify the Korean Peninsula under the rule of South Korea and let any former officials in the North’s government have asylum in the PR Additionally the Chinese would drop any territorial claims to the Spratley Islands and Dao-Yu Islands and off the coast of Vietnam

The PRC would get to go after Taiwan should they want with no US interference. Any Taiwanese officials that wanted asylum would be granted it in the US. I believe that if the US were to withdraw its support then there is a good chance the Taiwanese would make peace with a treaty similar to the one Hong Kong and Macao have rather than fight a war they could not win

Essentially swap N. Korea for Taiwan and an end of Chinese territorial imperialism in Asian waters.

That would in many ways be an evil deal but it would solve several of the main territorial disputes in Asia and would I believe make the region safer in at least the short to medium term.

The problem is the left are only pragmatist when they can surrender.

You watch. That will become the post event meme. It will become multi-cited proof of his mastery of the situation, his calm, cool demeanor under pressure.
