How ObamaCare Blocks Reform From Taxes To Immigration

Is ObamaCare the reform to end all other reforms? The massive health care law's problems are well known.

Major tax hikes and Medicare cuts will fund a massive new government program rather than shore up the nation's finances. ObamaCare already is encouraging companies to cut jobs and work hours.

With the administration delaying the insurance exchanges that might help small businesses until 2015, even ObamaCare cheerleaders are growing worried. And the law will leave tens of millions of Americans without health coverage. That's the best-case scenario, the government's own estimates agree.

But ObamaCare doesn't just roil the health care system. It cre ates major obstacles to tax, entitlement and immigration reform.

As President Obama prepares to release his budget proposal Wednesday, the two parties already are far apart on taxes and spending. The bipartisan Gang of Eight senators hopes to unveil immigration plan Thursday, but similar plans in the past have withered in the public spotlight.

The health law makes bridging the parties' differences on these divisive issues that much harder.

I support Obamacare because it will impede further damage to our country.

I don’t want to see it repealed. I want it implemented.

Its a blessing in disguise for freedom.

Stopping so-called “reforms” is even more important.

That’s why the people who couldn’t be bothered to read a law they voted on have found out it blocked the rest of their wish list.

You’re right about the damage, its already been done.

Let’s tick it off: Obamacare sucks energy and money out of tax increases, increases in funding for future entitlement programs and it stops amnesty cold.

What’s not to love? Those are too much of a good thing. No, its not what Obamacare supporters intended but who cares? The law of unintended consequences at work.

In what possible way does it do any of that? And why is that worth a 33% increase in insurance premiums and a tax/penalty for me being too poor to afford insurance?

Its a teaching moment.

Nothing in life is free. If you love higher insurance premiums and higher taxes, you’ll see what health care or lack of it, you’re really buying.

That’s exactly why I think it should be implemented. After all, if the Democrats didn’t want to read their own law, its high time American found out for themselves what’s exactly in it.
