WASHINGTON — Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel found himself being peppered with questions about his department’s attitude toward Christianity and religious freedom in the military during testimony Thursday on Capitol Hill.
Under questioning during a House Armed Services Committee hearing, Hagel was asked by Rep. Randy Forbes, a Virginia Republican, about a number of reported stories of concern to Christians and religious freedom advocates.
Forbes asked Hagel about an order issued that commanders can no longer inform their command of approved programs in the chaplain’s office.

Hagel surpassed his “Peter Principle’ about 11 steps down the chain of command. He will be laughed out of the job in no time.
I do not agree that he will be laughed out of the job. He is just what Obama orderd.
The message is sent from the CO’s at Battalion level but the tone comes from D.C.
As part of a Christian ministry I used to participate in numerous events at Camp Pendleton in support of the Marines. Now the Marine Brass will not let us place our “Jesus loves Marines” banners or pray in Christs name. Last Christmas we were to support a batallion’s Christmas party, but were told we couldn’t display any Christian or Christ themes, at Chrismas! We said no way, if Christ is not welcome then we are not participating.

The “I don’t know about it, but I will get back to you about that” response is hooey. The congressman should immediately have asked the chairman to reschedule Hagel so that he would have the opportunity to respond to questions when he has become “familiarized with his new job”.
And the congressman could also add that he will forward a whole bunch of new questions to Hagel, so that he will be able to respond with information at his next appearance.
Dems are jerks... Hagel a good fit with them...
I never thought I’d live to see the day that the U.S. Army would turn on people who believe in God. I guess the communists DID win the Cold War after all.
Even as Russia becomes more free and very deeply religious.
