Liberal Group Links McConnell to Al-Qaeda in New Ad
National Review Online ^ | April 12, 2013 | Eliana Johnson

A new ad from the liberal group Americans United for Change links the views of Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell to those of al-Qaeda senior operative Adam Gadhan.

The ad attacks McConnell for his opposition to expanding criminal background checks on gun purchases and contends that Gadhan agrees. It goes on to play a clip of the al-Qaeda operative, reportedly used in a recruitment video for the terrorist organization, encouraging Americans to go out and purchase weapons. “You can go down to a gun show at the local convention center and come away with a fully automatic assault rifle, without a background check, and most likely without having to show an identification card. So what are you waiting for?” Gadhan asks. A narrator then tells viewers to call McConnell and ask “why he’s in such bad company.”

The ad will run in Lexington, Ky., during local news shows, according to The Hill.

McConnell, who is running for reelection in 2014 and is one of the Democrats’ top targets for defeat, is likely to come under continued attack as the midterm election approaches.

GOP counter-ad:

In Libya, Syria, and Egypt, Obama has repeatedly held the door open for Al Qaeda, and is now arming them with American weapons.

Let’s discuss who is upholding the U.S. Constitution, and defending American interests at home and abroad.

I hope you are right, but never underestimate the Republican's ability, to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. They are called the stupid party for a good reason.

This type of crap is just a purposeful distraction and should not be responded to. Unless you want to compare Democrats to Jeffrey Dahmer. Because in order to survive in the brave new 0bama world, people are going to have to eat their children and their aborted fetuses.

“Liberal Group Links McConnell to Al-Qaeda in New Ad”

Well, they can TRY but they haven’t and nobody CAN really link McConnell to al Qaeda.

It’s all about their abusing the power of suggestion and that’s EXACTLY what they do. They abuse the power of suggestion and one of these days it will come back to haunt, cripple and/or destroy them. It’s unprofessional and for them to think they can do things like that with impunity forever then they are horribly mistaken.

I guess the lefties are upset that their attempts to bug McConnell's office were exposed, so they are now going to Plan B. I'm not exactly a big McConnell fan, but I'll side with him over these vermin any day of the week.

BTW, Sarah, who specifically called Al Quaeda "excellent" on CNN and in what context? (For all I know about them, they might have Ahmadinejad as a news anchor over there now.)

Their boy Barry is arming the Islamofascists (according to another post here today) and they want to blame it on McConnell. You can always tell what the commie ‘RATS are up to by what they accuse the incompetent GOOBers of doing.

What you said made me think or how so many State level democrat pols really do think that because nobama can get away with baldface lies, so can they.

Trouble is nobama gets RACIST free-ride and there is no way these lesser dems can get the same reparations break.

The City of Detroit is under emergency financial management. The city council has been dead set against it and we’ve been seeing organized protests crying about “democracy” and “letting the people of Detroit decide”, etc. Our Governer Snyder is a white guy and a “big business Republican” (formerly with Gateway Computers)...

SO, the compromise seems to have been that the Emergency Financial Manager must be an African-American and I think the only way City Council (mostly blacks) would even consider an EFM was if Snyder could find them a black person to “work with them” If not, there wouldn’t have been any sort of deal.

They had Jesse Jackson come to the city, Malik Shabazz of the New Black Panthers AND Sharpton all come to oppose Snyder and in my opinion, forced him to assign a black person to the EMF post in Detroit.

Oh, yeah...The Mayor of Detroit is Dave Bing, former Detroit Piston and minority business owner (Bing Steel, etc), himself an African-American who has been embattled by City Council all along. It might be worth mentioning that the President of Detorit’s city council is an openly gay, black man who prior to his winning that position was a local news reporter.

On top of all that, the former Mayor, Kwame Kilpatrick was just convicted of federal racketeering charges, among other things, along with his father and lifelong pal, Bobby Ferguson. All are in jail awaiting sentencing but even so, it’s obvious that KK could win re-election if only he was able to run for mayor again. And it’s not so much that they think everyone else is stupid, they just don’t care!
