Why Did the FBI Kill an Unarmed Man and Clam Up?
The Atlantic ^ | MAY 30 2013 | CONOR FRIEDERSDORF

Posted on 05/30/2013 8:26:01 AM PDT by forty_years

What led an FBI agent, or some other law enforcement official, to shoot and kill an unarmed man in Orlando, Florida? The man, Ibragim Todashev, was being questioned about the Boston bombing, as well as an unsolved 2011 triple murder that he may or may not have confessed to committing. Does that sound sketchy? Don't blame me. Once he died, law enforcement started releasing anonymous, conflicting explanations so dubious that they warrant an inquiry all by themselves.

Did the dead man have a knife? A gun? A sword? None of those? Let's run through a timeline of what we've been told, and then assess all the information that the FBI hasn't released about the killing. ...

Although I have no sympathy for the deceased here, this situation along with the changing stories really stinks.

“Although I have no sympathy for the deceased here, this situation along with the changing stories really stinks.”

When you have a complicit media, and a stupid public, changing stories constantly is an excellent tactic. The public doesn’t have the ability or the patience to try to follow the lies, and the media will rarely point out contradictions.

Obama can do almost anything, and by the third or fourth iteration of the story, the public loses interest.

The Atlantic is becoming increasingly laughable.

(1) The author is apparently surprised that the press gets details wrong and gives out conflicting information on a breaking story. Even though this happens every time on every breaking story.

(2) The author is apparently surprised that there is such a thing as a desire for martyrdom among Islamic extremists. It shocks him that an Islamist would try to attack and disarm an agent of the hated US government.

Scary but true. You can launder just about anything in America. All you need to do is adjust the spin cycle.

Whether it’s a SWAT raid of Gibson Guitars or the unexplained death of a person of interest, the Federal government is clearly out of control and an enemy of the people.

Moral of the story: Never allow FBI, IRS agents, or any other official of ‘the new regime’ to be with you WITHOUT a video camera rolling or a neutral member of the public present.

Probably the same reason that they seem to have pushed two FBI agents involved in the case out of a helicopter to drown at sea. But what that reason is—other than some sort of cover-up to protect Obama—isn’t precisely clear.

I just saw this linked via Yahoo and was going to post it. You would think that a seasoned FBI agent would be able to subdue and restrain someone without using lethal force.

You know what they say: From the head down...

If he was as bad a$$ as the reports suggest it could be justified. If he’s on top of an FBI agent pounding his face I’d put a couple of rounds in him.

There is always the remote possibility they wanted him shut up for good.

When I first heard of his death, I posted that the first thing to come to mind was the old movie: The Man Who Knew Too Much.

As more and more confusing details emerge about what happened or didn't happen or might have happened, I am back to to my original thought: The Man Who Knew Too Much.

Which leads in to that old quotation: Dead men tell no tales.
