When Edward Snowden decided he wanted to release details about the NSA's intelligence operations to the public, he reached out to Laura Poitras, a 49-year-old film maker and political activist opposed to the war on terror. As the Washington Post noted on Monday, Poitras had "the odd distinction of sharing a byline in The Washington Post and in London’s Guardian newspaper last week on two blockbuster stories."

Bruning's 2006 book, The Devil's Sandbox: With the 2nd Battalion, 162nd Infantry at War in Iraq. Contary to Greenwald's claim that Poitras has never been accused of any wrongdoing, Devil's Sandbox details the explosive allegation that Poitras had foreknowledge of a November 20, 2004 ambush of U.S. troops but did nothing to warn them.

I remember reading back then how Big Media would see Iraqis burying IED’s and then would set up and film our boys and girls riding over them.
Then they would cite some journolist “hero” who had told them never to lose their “objectivity” and thus they were doing their sacred duty to let American soldiers be killed for the good of the story.
This woman seems to be a rather nasty piece of work. I am still not entirely sure about what I think about the NSA exposure.
It certainly confirmed my suspicions.

This revelation, if true, would not surprise me a bit. This is the type of pond scum this turd hangs around with and views as “friends”.
This guy may have done what any American should have done, and brought this to the attention of the citizenry.
But this should be no different than any citizen in an airport who points out an unattended suitcase left behind by a man who ran out the front door.
This guy is no hero, and neither are the people he chums around with. We can be glad the information is out, but I have no gratitude to him or her.
Just as John Kerry,Jane Fonda and others rooted for the bad guys in the 60’s and 70’s it would appear that Laura’s been rooting for the bad guys more recently.

If he HAD made any disparaging remarks about the Fraud, I’m thinking they would never be reported, since the meme is all about making him a traitor for doing what was considered patriotic by Big Media during the last administration.
