“If we do not burn it here, they will burn it for us.”
That pretty much says it all.

Not to mention, if they “environmentalists” are concerned about ACTUAL pollutants that come from burning coal (such as sulfur and mercury), who do you think does a better job of scrubbing such from the flue gases, US or Chinese power plants? Obviously, environmentalist don’t care all that much about the environment, do they?

Build one nuke (1250 MW) and you can shut down as many as five average sized coal plants.

the obozo hussein is now going to give Africa $7 Billion of US tax payer money, borrowed from China of course, to construct an electrical grid of which China will certainly need to use in their own mass expansion in Africa. How can any country ever survive this kind of crap?? It’s obviously orchestrated just for the demise of the US and this lying jackass fraud remains free to keep doing his destruction.

A few weeks ago I saw a full page ad in USA Today sponsored by several coal mining and oil pipeline unions that made the same point about the XL Pipeline project. The ad showed a bucolic scene in the US with blue skies and one of Shanghai with the buildings barely visible because of the air pollution. The ad stated that the use of fossil fuels in the US was far less polluting than in China where they don't care about the environment. However I agree with this article Obama's war on coal and other fossil fuels has little to do with the environment and everything to do with achieving total government control.
I wonder how long the mining and other industrial unions will continue to support Obama when they see their jobs lost because of his environmental policies?
