WASHINGTON — US President Barack Obama on Saturday urged Congress to pass a wide-ranging immigration reform bill, saying it would trim the US deficit and boost economic growth.

"Every worker and business would be required to pay their fair share in taxes, reducing our deficit by nearly $850 billion over the next two decades" and helping to preserve social programs, Obama said.

Well, now that he puts it that way....
