O'Donnell: IRS 'Set Up A Back Door' for Political Opponents to Access Tax Records

Christine O’Donnell, the former Tea Party–backed Senate candidate from Delaware, was interviewed on Sean Hannity’s radio program today about the renewed investigation into whether she was targeted by the IRS during her 2010 campaign. She alleges that the IRS “set up a back door for people working in partisan offices to get into the IRS database” and use confidential tax information to influence elections. On the day she announced her 2010 Senate bid, O’Donnell said, the IRS erroneously issued a tax lien against her on a home she didn’t own anymore, which held that she owed the government $12,000. Yes, I remember. She denied the allegation, but people turned on her anyway. Sometimes, the Freepers are too quick to rush to judgment. We have a very bad habit of eating our own.

This is similar to all the bogus “ethics violations” lodged against Sarah Palin. She was eventually cleared but the damage was done. Then they accessed all her emails and in spite of having hundreds of people scanning them for dirt, found nothing. The only way leftists know how to win is to cheat. Honor and integrity mean nothing to them, the ends justify the means. Nice guys finish last.

A lot of base conservatives still fall prey to GOPe tactics. Rove led this one by selling our O'Donnell about 26 seconds after she knocked off Mike Castle. Would she have won? Probably not in left wing Delaware, but she had no chance once the elites cut off the campaign at the knees. O'Donnell beat one of the most entrenched politicos in the country. He literally owned the Delaware GOP as the only House member for the whole state. For whatever weakness she had in the general, she accomplished an historical win in the primary. Unfortunately, the campaign had to fight a three front war before they even had a chance to raise a champagne glass to celebrate the primary win. The opposition, the media, and her own party all started a war within minutes. Few can win in that environment.

Mark Levin supported her and pretty much called the charges bogus, IIRC.
