Your post reeks either of ignorance or snobbery. People get unemployed mostly without their fault. Like getting laid of when the company they work for closes, or through lack of business

There is no need to look down on people who are unemployed.

Now on the other side it's a different story for those who habitually file for unemployment, because the can make more money including getting food stamps instead of looking for jobs and taking what they can get

Neither. Many of the unemployed are able to exist only because of government money. Their outrage at being unemployed is tempered by the fact that the receive benefits. If the money runs out, they may finely get angry enough to take a stand and demand the government change its policies so that businesses can start and they can find jobs once again.

Look at Europe. They have had an unemployment rate averaging 10% for about 40+ years. But these people continue to live on the dole because government payments.

I am not mocking those who are unemployed. There are some who like to live on unemployment, but many that don’t. What is needed is an event that will piss off enough of them that the status quo will be changed.
