Wow. I’ll sleep much better tonight knowing the French have our backs...

(American Revolution notwithstanding).

Hmm... the last time two fascist/socialist/statist world powers worked together to wage war against a sovereign nation entrenched in civil war... sounds very... Napoleonic? Hilteric? Mussolinic?

More socialists to come because of this...

(Reuters) In a humiliating defeat for the British leader likely to damage Cameron's hopes of being re-elected in 2015 and set back traditionally strong U.S.-UK relations, parliament defied Cameron by 285 to 272 votes.

Commentators said it was the first time a British prime minister had lost a vote on war since 1782, when parliament effectively conceded American independence by voting against further fighting to crush the colony's rebellion.

Now as strange as it sounds, but I’d be glad to let France take the lead on this. They’ve done a good job fighting jihadists in Mali, and they were also first to strike Qaddafi. Hollande is a socialist, but so is Ehud Barak. I’d rather have a socialist who knows how to fight jihadists running a campaign than a socialist who is more concerned about his golf game.

The sight of the U.S. taking military action in the company of France—if that happens–but not the U.K., would be a shock to say the least.

It is simply AMAZING to me how much outcry there was from the left here in this country and from France during the run up to the Iraq War, and now, France is perfectly fine with attacking Libya and now Syria.

France Backs U.S. on Syria Action

Of course there isn't a darned thing they can do to contribute to the attack but they're willing to stand stalwartly behind us when we do. Thanks a lot.

Like Obama, Hollande desperately needs a distraction from his horrible lack of competence.

Heard any mention of Benghazi or the IRS corruption lately?

Distractions work.

Yet, they are both too stupid & full of themselves that they fail to realize there could be serious consequences for both countries & the world for this folly.

As much as I am loathe to agree with anything Obama stands behind, I don’t see how we can stand by and do nothing while Syria uses chemical weapons against her own people.

If it were a Republican president in office making the same decision, how many of us would still be against it?

I guess Barry the Serpent was a little upset when the British back out of the Syria war.
