Obama Admits Syria Strikes are about Regime Change
Frontpage Magazine ^ | Sept 3, 2013 | Daniel Greenfield

While stressing that Washington’s primary goal remained “limited and proportional” attacks, to degrade Syria’s chemical weapons capabilities and deter their future use, the president hinted at a broader long-term mission that may ultimately bring about a change of regime.

“It also fits into a broader strategy that can bring about over time the kind of strengthening of the opposition and the diplomatic, economic and political pressure required – so that ultimately we have a transition that can bring peace and stability, not only to Syria but to the region,” he told senior members of Congress at a White House meeting on Tuesday.

There is a larger question of why Obama supports regime change, across all the Arab Spring countries, The answer is to support the establishment of an Islamic caliphate, run by the Muslim Brotherhood. I am going to post a series of links to articles which support this claim.

I thought it was about sending a moral message and red lines being re-established.

If you are talking regime change than it is an invasion.

US Foreign Policy is Failing Worldwide

via the Jerusalem Post:
But: If Obama were asked his opinion of his foreign policy he would respond with absolute conviction that his foreign policy is a total success – everywhere. And by his own metrics, he’d be right.

Obama is a man of ideas. And he has surrounded himself with men and women who share his ideas. For Obama and his advisers, what matters are not the facts, but the theoretical assumptions – the ideas – that determine their policies. If they like an idea, if they find it ideologically attractive, then they base their policies on it. Consequences and observable reality are no match for their ideas. To serve their ideas, reality can be deliberately distorted. Facts can be ignored, or denied. Obama has two ideas that inform his Middle East policy.

First, the Muslim Brotherhood is good. And so his policy is to support the Muslim Brotherhood, everywhere. That’s his idea, and as long as the US continues to support the Brotherhood, its foreign policy is successful. For Obama it doesn’t matter whether the policy is harmful to US national security. It doesn’t matter if the Brotherhood slaughters Christians and Shi’ites and persecutes women and girls. It doesn’t matter if the Brotherhood’s governing incompetence transforms Egypt – and Tunisia, and Libya and etc., into hell on earth. As far as Obama is concerned, as long as he is true to his idea, his foreign policy is a success.

Obama’s second idea is that the root cause of all the problems in the region is the absence of a Palestinian state on land Israel controls. And as a consequence, Israel is to blame for everything bad that happens because it is refusing to give in to all of the Palestinians’ demands.

And that is why Kerry keeps running back to Israel, to squeeze massive concessions from the Israelis, who get next to nothing in return.

This is so transparent you have to be willfully blind not to see it.

They've told so many lies and spun it so many ways I'm not sure they even know what an attack would be about.

Obummer should never have drawn his "red line" concerning a conflict nobody wants the US to be involved in. Now that he has, there are no good alternatives. Either we say "never mind" and forfeit what little credibility Obozo has left, or we engage in a pointless attack that won't accomplish anything, even if regime change is the goal.

Now, did you know that the man who is the head of the rebel army in Syria that Obama wants to arm is a Syria born Texan, member of the Muslim Brotherhoodand former Obama advisor? Leader of Syrian rebels is a Texas Muslim, former CAIR VP (updated) Posted on March 22

A Syria-born American who lived, studied and worked in the Indianapolis area was elected today as prime minister of the Syrian opposition. Ghassan Hitto, 50, was chosen to lead Syria’s main exile groups. He earned degrees in mathematics and computer science from Purdue University in 1989 after attending classes at its IUPUI campus.

Hitto was also a volunteer who helped stage the annual conventions of the Plainfield-based Islamic Society of North America. He worked for the North American Islamic Trust, an organization affiliated with the Islamic Society, said Ahmed El-Hattab, an Islamic Society leader.

Simply put, he is Muslim Brotherhood.

Only to political junkies, like us. The general public knows nothing about it and would be shocked and disbelieving.

Thanks for those links, saved me the trouble of looking them up. Do you have a link to the Bodansky report, other than through the LaRouche web site?

Regime change is definitely needed here. The best way to accomplish that at the present time is through impeachment. Obozo must go.

yeah, because the Clown's plans in Egypt and Libya have done WONDERS so far.

Ever wonder why he doesn't push for regime change in Iran?

Iran's citizenry has a population that is very pro-Western....or maybe I should say HAD a population that was pro-Western...I think the Clown might have BLOWN that chance up when he ignored the slaughter of innocents in the streets of Tehran in 2009.

You remember that, right? He went to eat ice cream while women were being murdered.

A few minutes ago, someone posted a link to DU. It’s amazing, they are just as upset with Obama as we are. One of the posters said that she voted for Obama twice and now she feels as though she voted for Bush. They aren’t just upset over the Syria military action, they are very upset over Obamacare, as well.

I don’t see how Obama’s poll numbers could be any any higher than the thirties by the week-end.

Stupid is as stupid does. When no one properly vetted Obozo, and the media hid his faults, all so that they could cheer the voting of a “Black” man (Mulatto, actually), they did more damage to America, and the rest of the world than all previous administrations combined. The potential fallout of this, for the entire world, is hugh and series (huge and serious).
