Syrian Army fights to take back Christian town Maaloula from Islamist rebels
The Right Scoop ^ | September 12, 2013 | BBC / AFP

A great report by BBC News on how the Syrian Army are fighting the Islamist rebels to take back Maaloula:

(Watch video at link above)

Here’s another video from AFP which suggests the Syrian Army has made great strides in beating back the rebels:

Syria army makes 'major advance' in Christian town

So why again were we planning to attack Assad?

There are two videos in this post, please watch both.

These are very informative videos on the struggle of Assad's Army to help drive Obama's so-called 'rebels' OUT of the historic Christian town of Maaloula. We (Obama), as USUAL, are clearly on the WRONG side in this war.

Forward this information, so we can get the word out that the Obama regime works to arm terrorists to kill Christians. This is an outrage!

Our Muslim-loving president is sending arms to the Islamists who are burning Christian churches and forcing Christians to convert to Islam or die. How utterly disgusting.

Are Christians in the U.S. going to keep closing their eyes to this persecution of fellow Christians in the Middle East by our country? If we do, the ungodly in our government will eventually feel free to persecute Christians here.

It’s also a blessing that the Syrian army does not babble on with the “aloo fubar” crap like the fsa terrorists seem to do on all their snuff videos. The fsa goons badly need some MOAB home delivery.

He is sending arms WE pay for! Like my brother said 10 years ago: When it comes to terrorists, Republicans want to fight them. Democrats want to make them President. I thought he was kidding at the time but he has been proven 1000% right. This Obama is a freakin’ foreign agent for radical Islam and he proves it day after day after day. After he helped them take over Libya then Egypt, what did we expect he would go after next? Syria, and that’s exactly what he is doing right now. WHAT does this guy have to do to get impeached? This is unbelievable.

Unfortunately Republicans sometimes like the terrorists too, see Corker and McCain for instance

..and Boehner and Graham. Wouldn’t surprise me if most members of Congress are too STUPID to realize that Obama has a track record of taking the side of those who seek to kill Christians, not defend them.

Unfortunately, this same thing happened n Iraq 10 years ago. Saddam Hussein, like Assad a leader of the Ba'ath party, a secularist, and a son-of-a-birch, pretty much protected the Chaldean Church and the Assyrian Church of the East, if they kept their head down and didn't get subversive. Christian churches actually grew under Saddam, in numbers of believers and numbers of churches.

Now they've been smashed and scattered to the winds. Huge numbers of the fled Iraq to (ironically) Syria; now they're fleeing Syria to God-knows-where.

Seems like every time we upend a good old fashioned tyrant, we get a trampling herd of crazed islamists instead.

I understand why Christians would side with a clod like Assad. He's way better than the competition.

Obama has now moved to the position of openly arming Christian killing Islamists and still the US doesn’t do anything about him. Every church in America should be calling for his resignation, yet too many of them will stand with him even as he plots for their elimination.

It’s been lost in the conversation but the Alawites have Christian connections pre-dating Mohammud. Basher, being Alawite, has always used the 15% or so of the Syrian population that is Alawite/Christian to run the gov’t and the Army. And early on in the Syrian spring it was noted that one of basher’s options was to concentrate his strongest defense in the Alawite area so as to create a Redoubt (ala Hitler) that he could fall back to and preserve himself and his core supporters. It shouldn’t suprise ANYBODY that what’s left of the Syrian Army would fight the hardest to defend the home neighborhood. Unless someone decides to actually take out Basher himself I fully expect Syria to wind up as two or three smaller units-—and don’t forget the Kurdz have a vote in this hootenanny also. A good deal of this whole Arab Spring thing is the rest of the Ottoman Empire going back to zero. As the Russians found out, it’s really tough to make a country out of two or three dozen tribes who don’t like each other, especially if you don’t treat them fairly.

It appears the conflict (and our view of it) is becoming increasingly sectarian in nature.

It is mostly minorities who makes Syrian troops. If you are to look more careful you’ll see many Assad’s soldiers wearing crosses on them.

“WHAT does this guy have to do to get impeached?”
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

He would have to start acting like a REAL American president, abiding by his oath to defend and protect the constitution and telling the truth to the people. He would be impeached by the house, convicted by the Senate and marched out the door within two weeks. He would probably wind up in prison.
