Federal prosecutors have documented at least 350 instances of faulty background investigations done by private contractors and special agents for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management in recent years, illustrating what some lawmakers call systemic weaknesses in the granting of federal security clearances.

Reuters calculated the total by reviewing court documents and press releases from prosecutors for 21 cases resulting in convictions that involved the making of false statements from December 2004 to March 2012.

These are the cases government officials have cited to assert that action is taken against investigators who falsely claim to have reviewed records or done interviews for background checks submitted to OPM. Not all the cases identified a specific number of fabrications.

In recent like 4-5 years?

Not surprising because Obama’s Chicago Way Administration requires he hire and appoint only the most trusted associates and operatives .

Given the Corruption and Anti Americanism of Obamas Chicago Way operatives, very few of them would pass even the basic background check

The entire federal minority, 8a, contracting program is basically “falsified” so you can figure out from there whose lies are routinely accepted by intimidated security investigators—but let’s not have REAL a “conversation about race,” Mr. Holder.

Filing falsified official documents incurs several felonies......and could involve forgery.

Since Ohaha took office 5 million have received security clearance---while govt wiretaps rose 71% last year alone.....take a peek at those Obama conferred security clearances on.

Arif Alikhan, assistant secretary of Homeland Security for policy development;

Mohammed Elibiary, a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council;

Rashad Hussain, the U.S. special envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference;

Salam al-Marayati, co-founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC);

Imam Mohamed Magid, president of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA);

Eboo Patel, a member of President Obama’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships.

I remember when it was FBI agents sent round to ask friends, neighbors, former teachers and co-workers about you.

I guess they farmed these duties out to the lowest bidding contractors.

Money well spent...NOT

The Navy Yard shooter was reportedly being paid $12.15 per hour. In a high-cost area the pool of candidates willing to work for that does not include a lot of high-quality applicants. You’d almost have to fake or rubber stamp the clearance in order to have ANYBODY show up and do that function.

In living memory, there were actually two. Given his well documented background, Clinton could not have obtained a clearance to be a clerk typist for the U.S. government. One memorable moment as President occurred when, at a formal state dinner party in Czechoslovakia, Clinton pointed his fork at an older woman across the table from him. His mouth still full of food, he grinned and turned towards the cameras, and shouted “See that woman there! When I was in college, I spent two weeks here, in her home during Christmas break! Ain’t that something?” At the time of Clinton’s previous Christmas vacation visit, that woman was the head of Communist Czechoslovakia’s Security and Intelligence Services.

wow, how did that happen on a Government contract? There is still the prevailing wage language in most contracts.
