Nathan, born Nancy, Verhelst, 44, was given legal euthanasia, most likely a lethal injection, on Monday afternoon on the grounds of "unbearable psychological suffering".
Wim Distelmans, the doctor who carried out the euthanasia, is the same doctor who late last year gave lethal injections to deaf twins who were frightened they were also going blind.
"I was the girl that nobody wanted," Mr Verhelst told Het Laatste Nieuws newspaper in the hours before her death.
"While my brothers were celebrated, I got a storage room above the garage as a bedroom. 'If only you had been a boy', my mother complained. I was tolerated, nothing more."
Mr Verhelst had hormone therapy in 2009, followed by a mastectomy and surgery to construct a penis in 2012. But "none of these operations worked as desired".

I don’t think either of these examples is euthanasia. They’re assisted suicide.
Euthanasia is when a third-party decides someone should die.
Or at least I think that is the common distinction in America. Not sure about the Netherlands or UK.

I’ve never heard one of these stories without hearing of parental or sexual abuse. Perhaps some people are born with a genetic proclivity, but there always seems to be some emotional trauma over sexuality. A family member of mine is doing this also, she said her father always referred to her as his “other” son.
So sad. Why can’t people just treasure the children they are given? It’s a sacred trust.

To make it super-short: It is right to cure or heal malformed or malfunctioning organs, and to help a person accept and affirm their natural bodily identity.
It is wrong to maim (cut off or make non-functional) a person’s sexual parts based on their own disordered rejection of their normal sexual development.
It’s important to know that some of the world’s top experts in the sex and gender field --- such as the researchers and therapists at the Johns Hopkins' Gender Identity Clinic—have now stopped doing “sex change operations”. Why? Because they have seen from decades of experience that “gender reassignment” further damages their patients’ self-acceptance and is not truly therapeutic. Medical data shows that after their transition to their preferred “gender,” one half of “transsexuals” attempt suicide and one-third succeed.

No, her parents basically treated her like garbage because she was, and still is a girl.
Despite the hormones and the appliance she had hung from her crotch, she is still a woman, with female plumbing. She is, and always will be, a woman, albeit an insane one.
Calling a woman "he" just because she "feels like a man" is enabling her insanity.

In October 1939 the planned killings of handicapped children commenced. Between 1939 and 1945, some 5,000 infants, children and juveniles fell victim to Nazi Germany’s first killing operation. In more than thirty children’s wards of state hospitals and nursing homes (Heil- und Pflegeanstalten) in Austria and Germany the perpetrators murdered their victims by administering lethal doses of medication or by starvation. Tragically, the end of the Second World War in Europe did not put an end to the murder of handicapped children. “Twenty-one days after Germany’s unconditional surrender, Richard Jenne, just four years old, became the last victim of the euthanasia killers”(p.163). This happened on 29 May 1945 in the children’s ward of the Kaufbeuren-Irsee state hospital in Bavaria, more than three weeks after U.S. troops had taken the town!
In August 1939 Hitler also appointed Bouhler and Brandt plenipotentiaries for adult euthanasia. This time he furnished the go-ahead for the two in writing. Although dated 1 September 1939, the written expression of the Fuehrer’s wish was actually signed by him in October 1939. In coordination between the KdF and the Health Department of the Reich Ministry of the Interior a killing organization was set up, supported by a staff of some one-hundred functionaries, including fifty physicians.
Since April 1940 the central agency for implementing adult euthanasia had been located in a mansion on Tiergartenstrasse 4 in Berlin-Charlottenburg. This address gave the killing operation its infamous code name: Aktion T4. To cover up registration, transportation, and killing of handicapped adults, T4 managers created an elaborate network of fronts (Tarnorganisationen, table 4.3, p.74). The actual killings took place in six state hospitals and nursing homes which had been specially-equipped with gas chambers: Grafeneck in Wuerttemberg, Brandenburg on the Havel near Berlin[2], Hartheim near Linz in Austria, Sonnenstein in Pirna in Saxony, Bernburg on the Saale in the Prussian province of Saxony, and Hadamar in Hessen.
From January 1940 to August 1941 the T4 perpetrators murdered some 70,000 handicapped persons from Austrian and German psychiatric institutions in the killing centers. Friedlander points out, however, that calculations by postwar German prosecutors arrived at a figure of at least 80,000 killed (p.110). On 24 August 1941 Hitler ordered the cancellation of further mass gassings in the framework of Aktion T4. According to Friedlander a combination of growing public knowledge of the killings and subsequent popular disquiet led to Hitler’s decision (p.111; p.151)

If there was ever a case for denying a sex change on psychological grounds, this was it. What a stinking mess. Hope the mother is happy now.
One thing to note, when you refer to homosexuals as “Gay” you buy into their propaganda.
Gay infers happy, carefree, none of which fit any homos I have known.
This whole story is tragic. My heart breaks for that little girl treated so horribly by the people who are supposed to love her most. :^(

Your Post is mistakenly written.
It should say “HER” parents treated “HER” like garbage because “SHE” “IS” a girl.
She is now a dead woman, because of mental illness brought on by bad parenting or paranoia, or perhaps a bit of both..
She regarded a bedroom over the garage as a slap down? First indication right there she wasn’t no boy. For those of you who aren’t boys, a bedroom over the garage generally puts you well out of noise range of the parental units. You’ve gotta’ wonder if her brothers were resentful of HER getting the good bedroom
