President Obama is expected to nominate former Pentagon lawyer Jeh Johnson as the next Homeland Security secretary, ABC News has learned.

--SNIP--

Johnson has called working for the Obama administration "the highlight of [his] professional life."

"I have been on an incredible journey with Barack Obama ... going back to November 2006 when he recruited me to the presidential campaign he was about to launch," Johnson said in a speech at Yale Law School last year. "I remember thinking then, 'This is a long-shot, but it will be exciting, historic, and how many times in my life will someone personally ask me to help him become president.'"

--SNIP--

In addition, Johnson [..] helped write the 250-page report that led to the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" in 2010, as his firm's website put it.

Well, he sure has that Il Duce look, doesn't he, to be Obama's new fascist appointment.

I hope someone follows up with the requisite photo.

The look.
The color and the lips.
His ears are too small, though. He’ll never fly.

No more complaining about home land security, he is the first black person to head the agency , Obama is going for the ‘first’ title.. OTOH any complaints about the way the agency is run will now be racist..

Johnson’s first name (pronounced “Jay”) is taken from a Liberian chief, who reportedly saved his grandfather’s life while Dr. Johnson was on a League of Nations mission to Liberia in 1930.

Johnson is active in Democratic Party politics, as a fundraiser and adviser to presidential campaigns. Johnson served as special counsel to John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign,[9] and was an early supporter of Barack Obama's presidential campaign, active as a foreign policy adviser and as a member of his national finance committee.

“In recent years, he has urged the public to rethink how they view terrorists and the U.S. battle against terrorism, saying terrorists are no longer strictly aligned with Al Qaeda and have become “more of a mixed bag.””

Is the word “bag” a subliminal message?

His resume shows me a political hack Democrat lawyer who has worked his way up the system, but always as a lawyer.

I'd like to see ANY credentials (experience, schooling or training) in nuts and bolts SECURITY. He can have all the fancy and weighty titles they pass out like candy on Halloween....but show me the MEAT AND POTATOES!
