RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Sen. Mark Obenshain says he's going to outline his next steps in the nearly knotted race for attorney general.

The Harrisonburg Republican has scheduled a news conference for Wednesday in Richmond. Unofficial state election results show Democratic Sen. Mark Herring with a narrow lead over Obenshain.

My sister lives in VA, just saw on a local channel Obenshain saying it's not over. She said Herring said he is the AG and had some official there who said she was so sure he won, she's already calling him AG.

Also Herring complained about the way Cuccinelli is raising money for a recount. Cuccinelli pretty much said if Herring was so sure he won, why was he worried about it.

I've been following this race because I think it's a chance to call attention to voter fraud before 2014, after that it will be too late if nothing's done.

I live in MD - just the other side of the Potomac River.

The lead is only a couple hundreths of 1% of the vote [including Fairfax County & Richmond provisional ballots].

Trouble is that Fairfax & Richmond allowed MORE time for provisional ballots to be counted than the rest of the state. They allowed counting until yesterday, while the rest of the state had to cut-off last Friday.

In the recount, either they are going to have to allow extra time to count the provisional ballots from the rest of the state - or disallow those from Fairfax and Richmond that were allowed to be counted up to Monday ...

Guess that’s why Herring and gang are so pissed that Obenshain wouldn’t concede, might not work out for them in the end.

If an election falls under 1% they should just have a special election!

This would stop all this recount nonsense.

Has Eric Holder filed a lawsuit against Obenshain for being upset about getting Alfrankenated, yet?

Don’t worry! They will find 500 votes overlooked in a box in the car trunk!

You think your kidding but Obama needs McAuliffe to be free, not hindered by some Republican AG.

And Herring is already making noise about Obenshain's fund-raising for a recount. I tell you it's terrifying to watch.

The Democrat is 17 votes ahead after a machine in the hood (Richmond) was “found” to not being unlocked and counted because the poll workers were tired and quit for the night at 4:30 am.
Virginia, like Minnesota and Washington has quit counting after the Democrat pulled ahead and declared themselves winners.Same playbook.

And this Richmond “find”is AFTER Fairfax found 3200 absentee ballots they “forgot” to count.
On Thursday the Republican was up 777 votes.
