He and his wife were like surrogate parents to my wife and her siblings. The two families had a lot of kids and thy were more like close cousins than mere friends.
He died about a year ago. When asked how long the guy had been homosexual, my wife’s father said (Since WWII).
When he came out of the closet, he became persona-non-grata to both families right up to the day of his death. As far as they were concerned, his whole life had been a lie and the man they had known did not really exist and they wanted no part of the poser.

It’s not that he’s gay, it’s that he’s just not that into you...anymore.
There are certainly going to be higher percentages in workplaces and living spaces where individuals holding power are gay. If a gay holds a czar or Cabinet post or the company Human Resources keys, look out! They’ll hire their “friends” and those that might make them look good or “give them benefits.” Such can be especially true in a university environment. Gay? You’ve got a job. Straight, no return call for that application.
