I've gotten a number of messages in the last few days — from both supporters and opponents of gay rights — expressing sympathy over the rude and hateful messages I've been getting (and publishing) ever since I started writing about Phil Robertson.
This is sweet, but misplaced. The worst of my problems from being openly gay is that I get some nasty email. That means I have it really easy. In a country where gay teenagers are being bullied at school and thrown out of their homes by their parents and told by their clergy that they're going to Hell, we should not count my inbox as a hardship.
Rather than hurting me, these emails are a reminder that I have not just an opportunity but an obligation to be out of the closet — an obligation of which other people in my position should be mindful.
Being openly gay has always been pretty easy for me. I came out in high school in an affluent suburb of Boston, where attitudes toward gays were fairly positive and upscale New England standards of decorum stopped people from expressing negative ones to my face. Then I went to Harvard, where being gay is practically encouraged.
As far as I can tell, being open about my sexuality has never caused me any professional hardship — not when I was a banker, not when I worked for conservative think tanks, and certainly not now that I work in an industry that's more or less run by the gays....

That’s despicable. What you’re saying is: People who have brutally killed hundreds of thousands for decades in Eastern Europe and Islamist terrorists who killed 3,000 people at the World Trade Center, on our home soil, are more desirable human beings than an American who is homosexual? You should be ashamed. Why don’t you move to Russia or Saudi Arabia? If you wouldn’t make statements like that, people would not know just how ignorant you really are.

You are misrepresenting his point and you damn well know it.
This might come as a shock to you, Josh, but I don’t spend nearly as much time thinking about your sex life, Shep Smith’s (whatever it may be like) or gays and lesbians’ in general as you seem to think. I don’t approve, no, but beyond that, it’s just not of that much interest to me. I mean, I hope it’s good for you, really I do. If you’re going to do something unhealthy and soul-killing, it should at least be fun. And for that matter, I don’t care that much about straight folks’ sex lives, either.
“Haters” being, apparently, anyone on Planet Earth who in any way disparages open homosexuality and all its political and social ramifications.
Yeah, society isn’t accepting of murderers, child molesters, and thieves either.
The situation is rarely that bad anymore, however.
God has not gone on vacation. Sooner or later God will teach us how divine grace, lived out again in our lives, will in turn furnish any willing homo with what is needed to recoup his or her sexual self the way God wanted it to be in the first place. But our law righteousness has to fail before that can happen.
Most importantly, my side is winning the culture war. Legal and social acceptance of gays is improving every day.
LOL! You mean Indoctrination is winning the culture war? Indoctrination of young school children on up is improving social acceptance of gays? Yes because they are brain washed with false information at the insistance of radical gay groups.
This might be the anteroom to an actual widespread answer to the problem that manifests itself as homosexuality and a dozen other sexual dysfunctions as well. Granted that things like pushing “gay marriage” on society is harmful to everybody, but it also makes the problem loud and clear. As a nation, we’ve largely quit offering our sexuality to God. We’ve kept it to ourselves, as something to pride ourselves about.
If this is what it takes to set the stage for a gospel victory, God knows what He is doing. Like Doug Giles famously said, if you’re going through hell, keep going.
Gay conservatives are just classier and less self-obsessed.
Harks back to a time when even sinning had more integrity. “Gays” were tacitly tolerated in some milieus (notably the entertainment industry) and in return, they did what they did in private and didn’t try to make straight America “gay.”
On the other hand, let’s keep our vision large, always including the Lord and the overarching patterns in which He operates. In one sense these “new gays” are canaries in a spiritual mine. What they crave is joy. The joy of actually being real men (and women). This always has been rooted in God, and a society that has failed to honor God in their bodies for decades is a bit of a hypocrite to blast “gays” for their own piteous simulacrum of what they ought to be.
The best outcome is that EVERYBODY accepts God to be honored in their bodies again. Straights and “gays.”
Self-obsession is the essence of homosexuality.
For heterosexuals, sex is something that one does.
For homosexuals, sex defines oneself in every aspect of life & is the sole lens through which the world is viewed.
Sex has become a god to the “gay”, and a bad, cruel, and treacherous god at that.
But don’t be so quick to put modern US heteros on a pedestal. The God-vacuum has been telling in their situation as well.
This would be going thru hell.
I believe this is what we will see. Christians for the most part have been silent or ignorant, or are ignoring it for the most part and the video just shows the price we pay for ignoring it and refusing to be the Salt and Light God calls us to be.

Feminists (7000 members of LGBT congress) attack on people (1500 young catholics) who are stand and pray to defend their church. Next they are burning an effigy of the Pope. That’s how they understand tolerance and modern world.
