Congress is beginning its new year with a budget deal that busts right through caps it was supposed to have on spending. At Heritage, we want to hold Congress accountable for its tax-and-spend ways, even as Members claim theres no room to cut.
A good place to start is understanding the mountain of debt Americans are already under. Check out and share our infographic below that puts it in perspective.
The Congress is a joke; the Constitution is in the dumpster. Time for the Oath Keepers, Tea Party AND a new batch of Minutemen to lead the charge!

I’m pretty sure he knows his way around in a dress, high heels, and full makeup
How deep into the Earth would one have to dig to bury a single stack of 100 dollar bills whose total value was 17 trillion dollars?
Clue: the thickness of all denominations of paper/rag US money is identical.
The difference betwwen how long ago a billion and a trillion in that illustraion is the first one I’ve ever seen that has been understandably comprehensible to me. HUGE difference!
What does one TRILLION dollars look like?
$100
$10,000
$1 Million
$100 Million
$1 Billion
$1 Trillion
$17 Trillion
Funny i just watched an excellent movie with great acting about how a regular Joe got screwed by Wall Street so to speak and the domino effect it had on his life. The scenes are very lifelike an dreal if you’ve ever had financial difficulties. You can really feel the pain that this guy is going through and the nonchalant way he is trated and ignored by his brokers and creditors who are trying to pull a fast one. Let’s just say he gets the last say in a huge way. Normally I don’t care for films like this at all but the acting, realism, and attention to deatail is top notch plus it changes scenery often so its not like a one act play where everything occurs in one room. Its called “Assault on Wall Street”. Here’s a link a trailer. Its on Netlix:

And don’t forget the close to $100 trillion in unfunded liabilities for our entitlement programs.
Half the country only thinks of one thing — what’s in it for me. If they can keep living above their means on borrowed money, or on taxing “the rich” to death, they’ll do it. If the whole system collapses under the weight of debt in 50 years hey, who cares? They’ll be dead by then.
Reagan used to talk about stacks of dollars reaching the Moon. These days those stacks would probably reach the next star.
In a well-ordered and Conservative nation all those who have caused this monetary catastrophe that has eaten into the savings of the people and the economy of a nation would be hanged by the neck!
America is ruined and in WORSE economic condition than Detroit.
Right. Like the true unemployment figures the central socialist government doesn’t want known.
^ now before you think this is a liberal film no partisanship is mentioned. Its simply the little guy getting screwed by the big guys and to put thins in perspective this nation has done a 180 % degree flip where WE are the little guys now.
I’m convinced the fundamental reason for the Dem win in 2012 was entitlements funded by fake money. So no reason for them to change the game plan.
Now we all know this is gonna puke, but the problem is knowing when.
How deep into the Earth would one have to dig to bury a single stack of 100 dollar bills whose total value was 17 trillion dollars?
Clues:
1.) The thickness of all denominations of paper/rag US money is identical.
2.) The thickness of a 100 dollar bill is 0.0043 inches.
What happens if(when?) interest rates go back to where they were in the 1980’s? Disaster would be the correct answer.
4.3 billion inches.
