Nixon's an example of my original point that you argued against.
He didn't raise taxes to pay for the war and the goodies, but instead destroyed that dollar to do it.
That is the GOP way.
I only recall arguing against republicans never raising taxes.
In any case, Nixon set a dollar to gold value, and then he divorced the dollar from the gold price and let the dollar float.
That did devalue the dollar.
In politics you can choose the better of the two candidates, or you can choose to satisfy your ego.
Too many people opt for the latter and boast about it.
I refuse to vote on the premise of keeping another out of office.
That said, I did vote FOR Romney.
I do believe in my heart of hearts, much of what our country has suffered through the last several years, could have been avoided and would have been avoided if Romney had won. What do I base this conclusion on? Romney being a savvy and ruthless businessman. Cuts to anything would not be needed in an economy that was turned around. That one factor alone would negate a course of evils we are punished with now.
