Yeah, I've got a "path to citizenship" for 'em...turn around, climb back over the fence or swim back across the Rio, and get in line with those who are doing it the legal way!

Since in real world the illegals will not follow your wish, what is your plan B? We can't deport 30 million because we have no money in our treasury to do that. Do you really want to borrow from China to deport the illegals? Actually even borrowing from China about a Trillion more dollars for deportation won't do it. Because none of the illegals have registered their current address with ICE. Legal immigrants are required to register their current address. And we do not have enough FBI agents to search 30 million illegals. How I wish posts would reflect reality instead of wishful thinking.

Well, tough luck, newbie. Ranting is one of the things we do here on FReep. You'll learn that after a while if you stick around. 'Til then, if you can't deal with folks getting things off their chests, I suggest you go elsewhere...like some egg-headed think tank.

We have no money in the treasury...

we have enough to feed and house 30% of the prisoners in this country who are illegals? The millions and millions of them on welfare, getting free educations and free hospital care...

That stuff is cheap is it?

I guess this is not “reality” enough??

Cut off the jobs, cut off the freebies and they will leave on their own or not.

If we can pay them welfare, and pay for their healthcare, and pay to educate their children...we can damn well afford to deport every last one of them. And no, they don’t all have to be rounded up at once. You deport them when you find them, and in the meantime you cut off every single benefit available to them—up to and including lifesaving emergency care—to make life here so untenable that they will begin to leave of their own accord. And actually, we can round up and deport mass numbers. We did it in the 1950s with Operation Wetback, back when it was much easier for someone to stay hidden.

We do not have the money in the treasury to keep paying them the “benefits” they collect either. Given the choice, it is probably cheaper to deport them than it is to continue to pay them “benefits”. I think the smart thing to do is to stop paying them to stay and start very publicly arresting employers who routinely hire illegal aliens. I think many will leave on their own if those things happen. Then there will not be 30 million or whatever the number is to deal with.

It is not a binary choice between Amnesty and rounding-up 30 million people.

Put away that straw man.

I can find illegals without a problem. Put a bounty of $50/head on 'em and I'll give you all you want.

The illegals can be found. There isn't the will to find them or deport them.
