Original Title:Florida Man Who Tricked Girlfriend Into Taking Abortion Pill Sentenced to Nearly 14 years in Prison
A twisted Florida man was sentenced to nearly 14 years in prison for tricking his ex-girlfriend into taking an abortion pill last year and killing their 6-week old fetus.
John Andrew Welden, 29, apologized Monday for his actions as a federal judge in Tampa handed down the 13 year, 8 month sentence. But his victim, former girlfriend Remee Jo Lee, demanded the judge show the calculating fiend “the same amount of mercy that he showed me during my pregnancy,” the Tampa Tribune reported.
“This wasn’t just a case to me,” Lee told the judge. “This was the death of my child.”
Welden and Lee, 27, had been romantically involved for nearly seven months when they learned last February that Lee was pregnant. The news, however, did not unite them.

Why would he be convicted of anything at all?
According to the premise on which the legitimacy of abortion in general sits, the “fetus” isn’t human.
There is an irony that only the female of the two biological parents has the right to aborting (killing) their unborn child.
That strikes me as gender discrimination via libs code of justice/fairness.
But the Dad does get to pay child support,

Of course, it would have been her right to kill this fetus in any way at any time.
'Cause the new secular morality all about 'equality', right?
If this goes to the Supreme Court and the conviction is upheld then the legal situation gets really sticky.
If the Male parent can be convicted for killing a child without the consent of the Female parent then “Gender Equality” and “Equal Protection Under the Law” requires that the Female parent who kills the child without the permission of the Male parent must also serve an equal amount of jail time.
Abortion advocates, counselors & providers then are guilty of conspiracy to commit murder.

Really? Now that is truly shocking.
Not that I support this guy but I wonder what would her sentence have been had she tricked him into getting her pregnant by lying about being on the pill?
Only the woman has a right to decide when and if she will become a parent. The woman also has exclusive rights to decide when and if a man will become a parent. Equal rights?

When the left says “equality”, what they really mean is “tilting the board radically against those we think have had it too good in the past”.

How is that only a woman has the right to terminate a pregnancy?

So under the law women are allowed to murder a baby, but a man isn’t. So much for equality.
I hear Planned Parenthood is planning a huge march on Washington and fundraising for an appeal on the man’s behalf stating the young woman didn’t know what was best for her.
That would only be true in a sane and logical world.
A little blunter way to put it:
