It says it right in the first and second paragraphs that the new PM was supported by the Islamists and the MB. Never mind the secularists protesting the whole affair.
Remember that even now, the Muslim Brotherhood is not “hardline” in the view of the AP, although they have to concede “Islamist” these days; it’s like the difference between the MB and the Salafists in Egypt. (The
AFP headline is even more blatant.)
