Darn shame about that deposition you're gonna have to sit for for John. Should only take about 8 hours.

“Secretary of State John Kerry will be on a previously scheduled trip ...”

Then arrest him for contempt upon his return and throw him in the cellar jail.

Ordinary citizens who don’t show up for a jury duty notice can be fined or thrown in jail.

But this lying POS can skip town to avoid Congress?

After withholding documents demanded by Congress, which conceivably could be a criminal if not Contempt of Congress offense, Kerry's spokesperson is surprised his boss is getting a subpoena instead of a "kiss."

You and your party have been serving up hardballs and lies for years, Johnny-boy, it's time you faced some music and were accountable to the People's representatives, as the Constitution demands!

“As we’ve said repeatedly, we were all surprised, quite frankly, that instead of working with us and reaching out to us and offering first an invitation to testify, that Chairman Issa jumped immediately to subpoenaing the secretary,”

It's obvious Issa did because he didn't want the committee to be stalled by Kerry, which is what he's doing anyway by conveniently (for Kerry) being away on the date he is to testify.

J F'n Skerry: “As we’ve said repeatedly, we were all surprised, quite frankly, that instead of working with us and reaching out to us and offering first an invitation to testify, that Chairman Issa jumped immediately to subpoenaing the secretary,”

That's because Issa, and the rest of us as well, are tired of your BS and blundering.

Time to come clean JF'n. And yes, we remember that you "spent some time" (can't bring myself to write "served") in Viet Nam.

sub·poe·na /səˈpēnə/Law noun: subpoena; plural noun: subpoenas; noun: subpoena ad testificandum; plural noun: subpoena ad testificandums 1. a writ ordering a person to attend a court. "a subpoena may be issued to compel their attendance" verb: subpoena; 3rd person present: subpoenas; past tense: subpoenaed; past participle: subpoenaed; past tense: subpoena'd; past participle: subpoena'd; gerund or present participle: subpoenaing 1. summon (someone) with a subpoena. "the Queen is above the law and cannot be subpoenaed" A subpoena means: `We require your attendance'. It doesn't mean, `but only if it suits your schedule, or if you haven't made other plans, say, to watch the cliff divers in Acapulco,' (or) unless you would simply rather not because it might get your boss and maybe you in a whole s***-load of trouble'. It means you must attend or you're in trouble. Unless you're dead. Or a queen.

That’s why you have staff John F’ing Kerry, it’s called re-scheduling a conflict in an actual business environment. Have one of your over paid underlings pick up the phone and take care of business. You owe it to the people you work for . . . US!

Detain him before he leaves the country. Unlawfully evading a subpoena, or some such. Act like der fuhrer ,create your own laws. Provide him with a bodyguard and escort to the hearing. Keep him occupied for a few days.

Maybe he will learn the power of the subpoena. Do this to the first few members of the administration who are called. They need to learn basic respect for ALL the law. It the same for everybody, well it's supposed to be....
