can I ask a stupid question?

What rights were being denied to gay and trans-whatever residents of Houston? Considering our various constitutional rights, freedom of speech, the right to vote, etc., which rights were being denied, that they felt the need to pass this so called equal rights ordinance???

The Mayor was upset because she had to get married to her girlfriend in a state other than Texas and vowed to do everything she can to make sure that Texas allows marriages between members of the gay community. She can’t run again as she is now term limited but you can be sure that she will try to push her entire gay agenda on Houston before she steps down.

Sad day for Texas. Voters had a chance to elect someone else during the last election but they stayed home and so deserve what they got. Black ministers particularly are totally against this issue. Will be interesting to see which side Sheila Jackson Lee, their DC Rep, comes down on or if she will, for perhaps the only time in her political career avoid the limelight.

Denise Porker, as she is called by Michael Berry, is just a female Obama. Between the millions streaming across the Mexican border and Porker’s actions, Houston is becoming a disaster.
