The FBI is looking for a man who lives in the San Francisco apartment where agents found a large stash of what appears to be the deadly poison ricin.

On Saturday, FBI agents searched the apartment, which belongs to Ryan Chamberlain, according to KGO, an ABC affiliate. The FBI said Chamberlain could be armed and dangerous.

The apartment search was expected to resume Sunday.

Chamberlain owns a Nissan that reportedly could be rigged with explosives.

The FBI did not evacuate apartments during the search, and FBI spokeswoman Alice Heller said there was “no threat to public safety.” She said agents were wearing protective equipment for their safety.

You mean somebody with that name couldn’t possibly be a terrorist? There’s a lot of weird people stewing out there.

I like this from the article:

FBI spokeswoman Alice Heller said there was “no threat to public safety.”

and:

Chamberlain owns a Nissan that reportedly could be rigged with explosives.

“KGO said the amount of ricin found is the largest ever seen before in the city.”

So how much ricin do they usually find?

For them to be calling this ricin, without any chemical confirmatory evidence, means that this was likely a tip of sorts (unless they had some reason to have been watching this guy). I'll wait for chemical confirmatory evidence before getting too concerned.

“Ricin Roney? The San Francisco tweet?”

That's pathetic, but that I got it immediately and was amused is probably more pathetic.

Probably a packet of Castor Bean plant seeds he bought on-line for about $3.

They are pretty plants. Little big for an apartment, though.

Fox News says he is a political junkie.

There is a LinkedIn profile for a Ryan Chamberlain in San Fran with a MA degree “Political Campaigning Program” from University of Florida.

Too early to say if this is him.
