How do we prevent Obama from resigning?
July 6, 2014 | Me

If Obama should resign, all his activities and "accomplishments" will remain in effect!

If he is impeached and convicted, all his Executive Orders, signatures on passed laws, become NULL and VOID thus setting the stage back to January 20, 2009 before he took that oath (that's debatable)

If we impeach him now, Harry Reid will trash it in the Senate thus preventing the trial and conviction.

So the question is this: How do we keep him from resigning before the Republicans can take over the Senate?

Based on what? The SCOTUS has ruled the opposite in another case.

Please explain. Executive orders can be reversed. Czars can be fired. The EPA can be reined in by a new executive. Only legislation—primarily the ACA—will remain. And, if it’s unpopular in the wake of a resignation, it might get overturned... depending on who the next President is (obviously not for Biden, Hillary, or Warren).

He is too arrogant to resign. There are two parts to impeachment. Clinton was only 1/2 impeached. He was not removed form office. I think they will be too busy with other stuff to get anything done anyway.

A - he’s not going to resign
B - he’s not going to be impeached
C - if he were impeached he wouldn’t be convicted
D - conviction in an impeachment does not retroactively erase a presidency

Huh? They can easily be undone.

Biden is a hard-left idiot, but an idiot all the same, and even the Dems in the legislature are feeling the negative blowback on Bambi’s unilateral policies. S I think even Old F Joe might be susceptible to reason, at least enough to undo some of the “executive actions.”

What makes you think he’s going to resign?

Obama is too arrogant to ever bring himself to resign.

He would turn his armed private Alphabet Army and Homosexual Legions loose on the populace and do his best to destroy the country before he would ever admit failure.

He will never resign. He will be like Hitler in the Bunker, issuing orders and ordering all those he considers traitors to be punished.

Republicans will not take enough of the senate to convict. Even if they win 100% of them senate seats up for election they will only have 66 seats. And there is no way they will win every senate race.

Obama will only be impeached if so a democrats decide he’s bad for their party.

Also not sure where the logic is that impeachment rolls back the clock comes from but I don’t think that is how it works.

That's not how it works.
In order for that to happen, you would have to find a reason why he was Constitutionally ineligible to hold the presidency — IOW, the only way for this to be possible is the Natural Born Citizen clause. (And even then it's a crapshoot; the legal people might try pulling something out of their asses.)

This 2nd term will likely complete normally, and hopefully the next POTUS will terminate the vast array of egregious EOs. Should we be so fortunate early 2017, we’ll need to be prepared for heavy battle on the 4th estate.
