It used to be that blaming America for crisis abroad was largely the province of liberals. That folk wisdom appears to be changingjust ask Ron Paul. In the days after the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, the former House member has been quick to attack the West and President Obama for pointing any fingers in the direction of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Ron Paul or no, there was zero advantage to Russia to shoot down an airliner, and you can be sure their traffic control and ground crews on missiles know it was a passenger jet. If we want to find culprits, whose fighters escorted the jets so far off course of normal flight paths for commercial jets. As usual, the media is front and center creating lies and layers of deception for the masters.
I prosecuted thousands of people n 25 years. Some of them held prominent positions in government and corporate America. Many of them were exceptionally intelligent. And I can’t think of one of the top of my head that anyone would think that committing that crime would give them any more than “zero advantage”.
That is not a valid argument. People and governments all the time do what seems to be a “zero advantage” action. And they all have one thing in common ... every single one of them thinks they will get away with it. It’s never a case of looking at the consequences if you get caught.
Ron Paul’s argument is ludicrous. Does that mean Putin did do it? No. Not enough facts yet. But the Paul argument is absurd.
Ron Paul’s always absurd. He’s just got to stfu.
Rand needs to distance himself big time.
Why? So he’ll have a better chance of being president? That ship has sailed.
Of course. This fits in with his isolationist politics. He can’t bring himself to admit a larger, more forceful American “presence” in the region (at least) would have kept Putin in check. So it must be our fail.
It is our failure but not for the reasons he thinks. We failed by electing a limp wristed President.
Really? You never prosecuted anyone for robbery who thought he could benefit by having more money?
I note that both Paul and Buchanan never give Israel the benefit of the doubt on any issue.
"Dad!!! Put your pants back on!!!"
If Ron wanted his son to be POTUS and he had any brains left he would say NOTHING in public.
He’s not even a congressman anymore.
LOL...I agree that ship has sailed but he is a better man (the best of a bad lot) than the idiot RINO’s we have for defending the USA.
“Put a hit on me”. LOL
He is such a doddering and crotchety old coot.
Thank goodness he’s not bright enough to stop hurting his son’s chances.
