So, I recorded this program "The Company You Keep" A former Weather Underground craptivist goes on the run after a journalist uncovers his real identity.
So! My question: I have the option of watching:
40 something (I think it's hilarious, no matter I've seen it 10+ times)
Jubal - A western, 1956, starring Glenn Ford.
The Big Red One - Awesome WWII film with Lee Marvin. Luv this one too.
Or, bonus movie.... Get Carter w/ Stallone and finally atman Begins w/ Christian Bale.
So, which should I watch?
I recorded the Undergroung thingy a month ago and keep finding other things to watch.
Part of me says hit delete, the other part says keep it like luggage that'll get used one day.
What say you Freepers?
I'll be walking while reading your replies.
I’m going with The Big Red One. Alays awesome.
Saw it with a girlfriend when it first came out.
Would be kewel on my 80” screen.
“You still got another ball”...
Jubal is good. Glen Ford, Ernest Borgnine, Carroll O’Conner, Charles Bronson. (Just watched it today)
Big Red One is good.
I saw The Company You Keep last month. Typical propaganda that you would expect from robert redford. It’s not a good movie.
Wait....there forrrr follow up to that stupid thing?
I saw the 1st two but, only because Denise Richards. ..
There are a LOT of full length old movies on youtube now.
Jubal is there: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWAEoe-djpA
I noticed Midway,Schindler’s list - tons of old westerns, war flicks, U.K movies..
>> Jubal is good. Glen Ford, Ernest Borgnine, Carroll OConner, Charles Bronson.
Rod Steiger!!!
Sweet!
I can never watch Schindler’s list again. One time deal....
Frickin world went crazy and I have no ability to comprehend that collective insanity....
>>I can never watch Schindlers list again. One time deal....
I know what you mean. Me too. I mentioned it just to point out the quality of movies that are there now.
Also a huge collection of film noir which another FReeper mentioned a few weeks ago. That post prompted me to poke around and see what else was available.
Yep.
I saw the 1st two but, only because Denise Richards. ..
Obviously a plus.
But I actually like Starship Troopers, it's a guilty pleasure. [The animated one, Roughnecks: The Starship Troopers Chronicles, was actually pretty good; it got a 7.6 off IMDb.]
(I haven't seen the last two movoes, yet... I've got them slated for watching with family; if they turn out to be horrible then at least I've shared the pain.)
Hm, maybe Grave of the Fireflies?
you’re serious right.
