Ousted “Meet the Press” anchor David Gregory was paid $4 million to leave NBC and signed a contract not to speak out against the network, sources told Page Six.
Gregory, 43, who moderated the show for six years, was unceremoniously dumped from the political program on Thursday after dismal ratings and months of speculation about his departure.
He has been replaced by NBC White House correspondent Chuck Todd.

I wonder how much they will pay Todd to go away in six months?
Well, if he managed his money properly, he will have no trouble paying his bills.
And he will probably turn up somewhere else in the media eventually. In the meantime, the $4 million helps ease his pain, so to speak, at being fired.
I was under the impression at the beginning that he was just there temporarily.
$4 million would surely last me the rest of my life and most people their whole life as long as you don’t live in a blue area like NYC. I want a deal like that. Amazing how much people with no talent are paid.

How does changing to Todd bring the ratings up? More catering to MSNBC crowd?

NBC wishes it had been considerably more temporary. As it is, they allowed him to stay long enough to seriously tank the ratings & tarnish the brand.—things far leftist thug Todd will not be able to reverse.
What blew me away, is his age. That guy looks terrible for 43.
F. Chuck Todd is an unbearable hack. Apparently NBC wants to finish off the Meet the Press in grand style.
I have an acquaintence with NBC who claims that Gregory leads a pretty "intense" lifestyle - I'm sure if true, this will come out shortly via the "some people say" or anonymous sources are quoted" Make no mistake, Gregory has pissed off the wrong people
In the whole scheme of things, $4 million is not much money when it comes to golden parachutes. My guess is that it was a whole lot more than this.
