I recently read an article entitled “What Black Parents Tell Their Sons About the Police” and I began to ponder the downward spiral in race relations over the past five years. According to the author Jazmine Hughes:

“Such is the burden of black parenting. Being a black parent, especially of a black boy, comes with the added onus of having to protect your child from a country that is out to get him -- a country that kills someone that looks like him every 28 hours, a country that will likely imprison him by his mid-thirties if he doesn't get his high school diploma, a country that is more than twice as likely to suspend him from school than a white classmate. “

Sorry Ms. Graham-West but it isn't over the last 5 years. More like the last 50 years since the "great society" was put in place. The downward spiral has only increased in speed. As for the person who is so full of guilt because she and her kids are the objects of "white privilege", thanks for raising your kids to also be filled with "guilt" for being born white. WTF? And that, my friends, is how the lyin'king got to be the (p)resident. The local chapter of the naacp held a "rally" to demand the arrest and prosecution of the officer in Ferguson the other day here in Reno and I only saw one black person in the photo. The rest of the participants were either young white females or older white males all suffering from "guilt". Puh-leeez. Interesting read in any case.

I suppose I really shouldn’t be surprised or shocked by the white womans tale. I see plenty of cars with obie ‘08 and ‘12 stickers on them driven by guilty white folks who’ve bought the garbage hook, line and sinker. Individual thought process? Nope. But then again, it all depends on whose “facts” you choose to believe.

Can you provide a source? I’ve suspected that a great many of the black males shot by policemen were shot by black policemen, but I couldn’t find a source.

Reminds me of a very astute guy I know who brings a great historical perspective to his analysis of political and social trends. He says the period starting in the 1960s in American history will be remembered as the start of our nation's decline. He marks that decline as the time when America's middle class began adopting the dysfunctional folkways and morals of the country's former slaves.

I think about that statement every time I drive past an ordinary-looking white person in an expensive SUV with an Obama bumper sticker on it.

I have a question for this mother: “If your blond sons were strong-arming and robbing that store owner would they be allowed to get away with that because of their "white privilege"? The answer is no. I am certain that among the 6,578,133 white men arrested in 2011, some had blonde hair and pink skin.

Ms. Graham-West is knocking down liberal elite lies. Good for her.
