The White House says Obama has changed his plans for Friday and will return to Washington late in the evening after fundraisers in Rhode Island and New York. He had planned to spend the night in New York. Presidential aides say the change in plans was not related to any current events and was the president's personal choice.
Obama will spend Saturday morning in Washington, then return to New York later in the day for the wedding of his personal chef Sam Kass and MSNBC host Alex Wagner.

Once again, I wonder if he is having a medical issue. He doesn’t care about impressing people like us, and libs don’t care if the country is destroyed, so I have trouble believing this is to feign concern for the numerous crises in the world.
Re medical issue: If he’s not going to the hospital... and that would be hard to hide.. wouldn’t his doctor travel with him? Anything that doesn’t require it be done at a hospital would gladly be done by an attending doctor. After all, he’s the President.

Probably he got too much feedback from having airspace over all over Nantucket and the Long Island Sound being shutdown for his fundraising foray.
Just shows how clueless and self centered the planning process is over at the White House. They don’t even refer to the outside world unless there is a crisis and then won’t take any blame or admit an error.
Something is about to happen, he can’t be seen “partying” away from the situation room.
