Agreed. Those bags are very useful for all sorts of household tasks. My favorite is using them to dispose of used cat liter receptacles.

All the grocery stores around here have recycle bins for the plastic bags. If they get recycled, why is it an issue?

I pay for the paper.
That way, at least somebody is dealing with the fuel load.

Kevin de Leon is a certifiable halfwit.

The cop behind him knows it too.

Thank God there are no more pressing problems to worry about in California.

Dumbasses.

Me, too. I will order some from ULINE.

Note to self: Start hoarding and look into black marketing of plastic bags. *SMIRK*

I ran into this yesterday at the store. I had about 10 items and the checker rang everything up and asked, "you want a bag?" I say yes (duh), and the guys bangs me for $.10 for a paper bag. So now we have no plastic bags and have to pay for paper now.

Morons.

I heard somewhere it takes seven trucks to carry and deliver paper bags and one truck to carry the same amount of plastic bags.

Supermarkets support this ban partly because they could collect 10 cents, for paper bags, and keep them.

Unions, for grocery workers, support this ban also. At least one supermarket chain, Safeway, promised to share the revenue from paper bags with unions...

I will write to Gov Brown to oppose the bill...But, I will think he will sign this bill...

I would NEVER pay 10 cents for paper bags...I will bring my own plastic bag...
