Sounds to me like someone “casing” the place for a future burglary. That's what I thought. I was starving, but now I've completely lost my appetite. My .38 is right here on the table.

My thoughts exactly.
First get his name and address. Then, tell the guy that you think he could be casing because you’ve heard of this type of scheme before, and you would call the police if he doesn’t leave. Record all this on the cell phone.
Then, warn him not to come on property again otherwise it’s trespassing.
