Skip to comments.Andrew Tahmooressi’s Imprisonment Is Something We Should Be Ashamed Of

What to make of the peculiar situation unfolding just across the border in Tijuana, where U.S. Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi languishes in solitary confinement for the crime of mistakenly crossing the border with his personal weapons in his truck on March 31? ADVERTISEMENT
Nothing to inspire confidence, for certain. In fact, Tahmooressis ordeal might just confirm many of our worst fears about the Obama administration.
That he refuses to get involved despite so obvious a brief for doing sonot to mention a legal dutyisnt just a reflection of his incompetence. It looks more sinister than that. Tahmooressi is a white, male, heterosexual gun owner. The reader will forgive this columnist for thinking that if this were otherwise, his case would enjoy more currency with the president. Right now it looks as if Obama, who has just sent the Justice Department to Ferguson, Missouri, is refusing to act as president of the entire country, intervening only on behalf of those who belong to his partys constituency groups.
And it fuels the idea that his presidential failure isnt just what happens when you elected a community organizer to the most powerful job in the worldits what happens when someone with that job, unqualified or not, fails on purpose.

We already know what kind of man Obama is....the real question is why we aren’t doing something about it!
Why indeed! ! ! ! !
To,the headline: YEP,,,,,
To the headline: why?
Recent evidence of DOJ weight in Mexico when they want to use it.
“Fonseca Carrillo will soon leave prison. It’s a matter of hours or days. This has already communicated by the government of Mexico to the Department of Justice (American) to prepare an extradition request to immediately take into custody Fonseca Carrillo when he sets foot outside of prison, the authorities will stop and re-arrest him for extradition; Supposedly said a senior source of the US.
“It is clear that the government of Mexico does not want another element of surprise, for them or for us, as occurred with the release of Rafael Caro Quintero. That release, caused friction in the relationship of the two countries and Mexico wants to avoid a repeat,” the official said, who relayed the information this week, on the condition of not revealing his name or the federal agency where he works.
Well I’ll tell you why, plain and simple.
We don’t have the numbers to do anything.
The Democrats will never ever do anything against the “first black president “ and they must be part of any legal sanction against him.
That leaves it to the conservatives and there just are not enough of us to do the job.
The anniversary of 9/11 is upon us and a veteran of the Afghan war is ignored by this Regime while it works furiously on behalf of illegals from Mexico....this is shameful.
Sociopaths have no feeling; it’s pretty clear that is who runs the country (into the ground).
The “gubmint” can send rescue teams around the world or trade some raghead jihadist for a creep like Bergdahl but can’t go get one of our marines? What the hell?
There are enough marines in Southern California to take the entire country of Mexico let alone get one of their own back. Hell, they could walk across the border and bring him home before lunch if they wanted to. Get ‘er Done Guys!Where the hell is RAMBO when you need him?
If Tahmooressi was black, he would be back home already.
It’s because tens of millions of “Americans” are totalitarians with no regard for real human tragedy.
Shameful, but no priority of the American people who do not even know about this case for the most part.
The American people seem to have a liking for “community organizers” now.
If Tahmooressi was black, he would have never been arrested in the first place.
Exactly...In our former country, this story would be on the national news each and every night until his release was won or accomplished by any means....
Look up your reps and demand action.
Maybe we can move this to the center of the radar screen.
GW Bush let two border patrol agents languish in prison until he was finally pressured to commute their sentences on his way out of office. It simply was not part of his agenda to help them because his good buddy Johnny Sutton was the prosecutor who committed prosecutorial misconduct to put them away. Its all political it does not matter who is in charge.
I’m infuriated by Tammooressi’s incarceration. Obama could have had him out months ago. But he will likely never lift a finger.
Please tell me specifically what we should be doing
