Last sentence? maybe. We sure have a lot of spoiled-rotten Americans, so the mantra “doing work Americans won’t” rings true to me.
It is not “big business” that uses the illegals; it is small business, personal business, etc. They can get away with under-the-table payments. No way big business can.
There is a whole bunch of commie/fascist regulation that needs to go away in order to right this ship. It’s not just one facet. They all hinge together.
You won’t be getting a whole new super-cheap workforce, you’ll just get a larger workforce of minimum wage workers that can’t speak English.”””
I don’t see an employable work force at any price.
They do NOT speak English...
They do NOT write English....
They do NOT read English......
They CANNOT correctly fill out an I-9 for any employer in the USA. They do not have correct papers to work in the USA & any employer who does such hiring puts themselves in jeopardy of daily fines of $5000 per illegal.
They are criminals & chronically unemployable people from countries where education was all but forbidden & increasing the population was demanded by the churches.
None of those southern countries are sending us bank tellers—scientists——teachers-—usable people-——
Castro sent over all his prison population under
Carter’s nose. Carter swallowed the bait. Many were industrious-—and they sought to assimilate into America. But that was then & this is now.
I don’t see “industrious” in those who are invading across our ‘border’. I also don’t see an attitude of assimilation.
Jobs now demand that an employee speak Spanish. That has been happening for over 30 years. I refused to work anywhere that was bending to the illegals. I still won’t go to Home Depot because they were building ‘weather shelters’ in the parking lots of their stores in So Calif. Try going there, parking, and NOT getting swarmed by illegals looking for day labor in cash. NOT a pleasant experience for a woman alone looking for hardware for the home she owns.
They lost me in the 70’s, and I have owned 3 other houses since then. They lost my business to Lowe’s. Permanently.
