I’m Andrew Klavan and this is the Revolting Truth.
Today, in a special religious edition of the Revolting Truth, we’d like to take a look at the new faith-based bestseller, “Europe Is For Real.”
“Europe is for Real” tells the inspiring story of the adorable 5-year-old Iowa boy Derpy Lipschitz. One fateful day, in April of 2005, little Derpy complained to his mother of stomach pains and was rushed to the hospital where doctors discovered he had accidentally swallowed a copy of the New York Times while trying to bite the head off his pet canary.
Derpy was taken into surgery but the emergency worsened when the doctors tried to remove the Times’ op-ed page from the child’s colon and couldn’t determine which was which. In the confusion, a column by Paul Krugman traveled through the boy’s bloodstream to his head causing instantaneous brain death.
It was then that a miracle happened.

It never fails. You have a sweet, innocent little boy tell his story of spiritual travel and someone comes along trying to throw stones through the stained glass windows. Well, his last name is Klavan, which is close to Cloven, you know, as in the ‘clove hoofed one, the prince of all that is evil.
An incoherent, vicious piece. The banal and hateful vacuity of the left - and of their father - is on display here.

Yes he is (one of us). Evidently some don’t read past the excerpt and even if they do, they don’t get sarcasm when they read it.
Klavan is speaking truth to power. His synopsis of Europe is spot on.

Andrew Klavan is brilliant and this piece is one of his best.

You are partially correct, “satanic” is what it is.
Yeah, it’s satire. Not even subtle satire. “Europe is socialist.” Get it? Ha, Ha.
However, senile old farts who can’t comprehend satire are the only ones up this early on Sunday. Unfortunately, such are most likely to share their opinions or drive in rush hour traffic.

It was a completely unnecessary remark. I was with Klavan until that last remark. It ruined the whole video.
I agree. Klavan is one of us. One has to watch the whole video. It is a clear parody to take on the popular view on the left that Europe is Heaven on earth. He even complete the video by saying “Heaven is for real.” In previous posts, he has a great 30 or 40 day challenge for Atheists who are willing to challenge their own beliefs by talking to God in the quiet of their own rooms.
