Actually tape recording a conversation without the knowledge of the other party is illegal most places

Counter suit under 1st, 5th, and 14th Amendment protections. I would sue those two fat slobs for no less than $2 million

Unfortunately, New York State isn't one of those places. So long as one of the two parties consent, the recording is legal.
