Disagree. I believe it will be a negative to your tourism. While some will visit because they CAN smoke week there, many, like me, will not visit or will not go back. I am in the latter; I was there with some family the first week of September. I kept smelling a horrible smell that was making me sick. it wasn’t till we got to the stadium sunday night for the broncos game that it finally hit me what the smell was (it was there, also).
I will NEVER so much as even drive thru the state again

The only negative so far with pot being legalized is the intrusion of the gov on every level in what is now a legal business in Colorado.

THAT was understood from the get-go. Even the stoner liberaltarian here at FR knew that with legal pot comes TAXES on that product and more and more levels of government to regulate, control and TAX the stuff.

They didn't care. Hypocrites.

......had a hundred acres near Pitkin for many years.

Sold it. Being honest, there were several factors. But, one of them was just “liberalism” generally. It was CLEARLY on the rise everywhere you went in Colorado.

Now we have the stoners flooding in. I was just in time!

A thousand will replace you so I doubt if they will miss you. The revenue they are making is astounding. There are plenty more states to visit to your liking.

- - ‘I will NEVER so much as even drive thru the state again.’

We have to go to CO occasionally. There’s a daughter, son-in-law, and 4 grandchildren living there. In fact we fly on Oct. 16th for the wedding of a grandson.

Which also brings up dangers such as Ebola, and that other virus in CO affecting children - - I’ve lived a fairly long time and have never seen such a wacky, possibly dangerous period - except perhaps for polio, but that’s another story - in American history.

You will probably wish me luck - - -

The smell of pot makes me nauseous as well. I can’t beleive that people get up in arms over someone smelling like a cigarette...they call it “vile” “disgusting” and the like. Yet to me cig smoke is nothing compared to the aroma of burning weed.

The smell is bad, think of living right next door to the stench. Medical Marijuana in Michigan, my neighbor does it and approximately 6 others on the same block. It is nearly impossible to walk through the neighborhood anymore without being lamblasted by the stench.

But you were a tourist just passing through, and brought your own money. Democrats want stoners with EBT welfare cards because they vote and are easily controlled.

So what if the city is converted to a slum, if you get to live in a gated community.

Besides, for a democrat, lying to a stoner is so much easier.
