With the media and engaged citizens focused on critical mid-term elections, the Department of Justice turned over 64,000 pages of documents related to Operation Fast and Furious that it had previously claimed executive privilege for, the House Committee on Oversight and Government Responsibility announced Tuesday. Per the committee release, the production of the documents, compelled by court order, is further evidence the administration had no legitimate reasons for withholding them in the first place consistent with the purposes behind executive privilege, and their withholding was part of a continued effort to avoid disclosures that embarrass or otherwise implicate senior Obama Administration officials.
The documents were hand-delivered to Kerry Kircher, General Counsel for the U.S. House of Representatives under cover of a letter signed by DOJs John Tyler, Assistant Director, Civil Division, Federal Programs Branch. Per Tyler, they have been marked to show redactions from agencies including the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Department of Homeland Security, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the U.S. Marshals Service, and the State Department. Markings also show material withheld under the claim of deliberative process privilege, and material deemed Unrelated or covered by Privacy issues.
Claiming DOJ compliance was affected by time constraints, that some of the materials may be appropriate for Congressional but not public review, and admitting that some of the information may have been unintentionally marked for redaction, Tyler noted if DOJ discovers additional appropriate materials, it will work with Congress to produce additional documents. By the same token, he asserted the right to seek return of documents inappropriately disclosed.
For his part, House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrel Issa remains unsatisfied and skeptical of DOJ pledges of willingness to resolve and narrow disputes. Yesterdays release specifically characterizes the document production as an election eve dump, and calls the withholding of

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
This part at the end of the article really interests me: “If, on the other hand, State did sanction uncontrolled distribution of guns into the criminal underworld of a foreign country, the investigation would take on an entirely new public interest dimension to resolve, especially as the official in charge at the time was potential Democrat presidential contender Hillary Clinton.”
The reason it interests me is because of the multiple times over the years that I have posted how the Fast, and Furious program is typical of the sort of scheme Hillary Clinton would concoct. I blamed her for Fast, and Furious from the beginning. It’s exactly her style of thinking. Never put it past her. Hillary has a “lot of splainin’ to do.”

It does have some similar feelings to the early parts of the Waco escapade.
"Issa and his idiot cronies never gave a damn about this when all that was happening was that thousands of Mexicans were being killed with guns from our country. All they want to do in reality is cripple ATF and suck up to the gun lobby. Politics at its worst maybe the media will get it."
My theory since the beginning is that F&F was a Hillary brain child handed off to 0bama, probably via Valerie Jarrett. It reeks of her twisted cynical views of political manipulation.
I’m with you.
I’ve never had a doubt Hillary, not the jug eared clown, was behind it.
That makes two of us. See #8. Hillary was the prime pusher of the “American guns are flooding Mexico” theme.
Where are the documents?
On this side of the border it's violations of the RICO Act. In Mexico and Honduras it's state-sponsored terrorism.
What else would you call heavily arming international criminal syndicates within a foreign country wherein that country is in a death struggle with those syndicates?
Especially when it goes beyond thousands of assault rifles to include grenades, RPGs, shoulder fired rockets, anti-aircraft guns, night vision equipment, body armor and special deals to bring their drugs onto our soil with legal impunity?
Not to mention that the rip crew that killed BP Agent Brian Terry was there with DEA and FBI assistance and approval to attack and kill a rival cartel's smuggling crew.
Let's not leave out the DEA laundering millions of dollars for the drug cartels by setting up bank accounts for them that they otherwise couldn't do.
It's organized, it is spread through every Federal LEA and it violates numerous domestic laws and numerous statutes and treaties that deal with foreign nations. Yet none of it has been officially sanctioned. It's the FedGov acting like mafiosa.

0bama, Holder and Hillary Clinton are all deeply involved in this and it is state-sponsored terrorism. These criminal thugs are dragging our country down to the level of Tehran and Pyongyang.
It reminds me of 1996 when Clinton’s buddies the Chinese military were caught smuggling in full auto weapons for the same LA gangs that started the race riots in 1992.
Does he say “I ain’t your b**** n****, get your own d*** fries!” again???
Sorry, wrong thread. had the tab for President Obama lashing out at a reporter open (elsewhere, apparently).
those weapons were transported without a license..violation of neutrality act iirc
