ISTANBUL – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is claiming that Muslim sailors reached the Americas more than 300 years before explorer Christopher Columbus.

Speaking Saturday at a gathering of Muslim leaders from Latin America, Erdogan said that contact between Islam and Latin America dates to the 12th century.

"It is alleged that the American continent was discovered by Columbus in 1492," Erdogan said. "In fact, Muslim sailors reached the American continent 314 years before Columbus, in 1178."

In fact, the New World of the Americas were discovered by many other unknown and unnamed explorers centuries and millennia before Columbus, but it was the expedition by Columbus which resulted in the historically recorded discovery and colonization producing the present day societies of the Americas.

Thee are many articles describing the 20th Century research which discovered alleged evidence of language, religious ceremonies, oral traditions, and genetic inheritances indicating Jewish mariners in the age of King Solomon were shipwrecked in the Caribbean Islands and developed a tribe of Amerindians with distinct Jewish language and cultural traditions. They migrated from the Caribbean islands to Florida, whereupon they were displaced to the Indian Territory of Oklahoma where the professors discovered them.

No doubt the Muslims now will claim there is no Jewish versus Muslim discoverer’s gap in the Americas.

a) Each nation wants to control American foreign policy
b) Each nation wants special recognitio of its US immigrant community.

No, this is not true, the Turks did not discover the Americas, they did, however, discover the following:

1) The art of Sodomizing
2) How to skewer meat on a spit - Donner Kabob or Shish Kabob.
3) How to kill a million Armenians in 1916.
4) How to fight on the wrong side in WWI and nearly WWII
5) How to lose vast territories in WWI to a mad Arabized Englishman (Lawrence).
6) The art of trial without rights
7) Make jellied candies (”Turkish Delight”)
8) Have an American classic holiday named after them.
9) Adopt secularist Islam (Attaturk) and then elect a MB Towel head.
10) Get into NATO and then deserve to be booted out of that organization.
