President Barack Obama says he wants a Democrat in the White House in 2016 and is pledging to do everything possible to help that nominee succeed.

At the same time, Obama says the public wants that “new car smell” when it comes to the next presidential campaign.

In an interview broadcast Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” Obama says: “They want to drive something off the lot that doesn't have as much mileage as me.” …

I was amazed to just hear Chris Wallace “remind” Senator Cruz how disastrous for the Republicans his fight was with Obama over Obamacare. I don’t really put much beyond the efforts of liberal spin, but I have to admit that I would never have considered that they would try to convince Americans that the Republican landslide did not really happen. Boehner and McConnell were the easiest to convince.
